Oooh, the whole three dimensional printing thing is cool. When you've got some LUNA prints on the go Yufster I'll certainly buy one :D

If you're willing to do a lot of cutting, folding, and pasting, you can have any model using the software I linked above (shareware = free). Just make it in 3d first.

Or in Yufsters case, make up something like:

Quote5/13/2004Ã,  11:34:00 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  Didya do that in Blender?
5/13/2004Ã,  11:35:13 AMÃ,  shbazjinkens yeah
5/13/2004Ã,  11:35:32 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  From scratch?
5/13/2004Ã,  11:35:35 AMÃ,  shbazjinkensÃ,  yeah
5/13/2004Ã,  11:35:51 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  You did, eh?
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:02 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  From total scratch?
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:03 AMÃ,  shbazjinkensÃ,  eh.
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:12 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  So.
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:18 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  You and I have always been good friends, right?
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:22 AMÃ,  shbazjinkensÃ,  haha
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:22 AMÃ,  shbazjinkensÃ,  sure
5/13/2004Ã,  11:36:34 AMÃ,  Rusalka (Psychadet!)Ã,  Remember that time I put a bandage on your knee?

and I might get hoaxed into doing it for you.

I wish I could go :(

Australia is so very far away

*has a pointless cry*

No blubbering - Next year Mittens will be there, not some crummy spin-off like Brittens.  ;D

I called it Sexcellent, several times. But obviously, my words mean nothing to you.

Actually, that's what I was referring to.

Here it is - http://www.e-cardmodel.com/pepakura-en/

Looks like it was created from this - http://www.page.sannet.ne.jp/jun_m/tenkai/index-eng.html

On a side note, this is the first time anyone has ever called anything I've done with a computer "sexcellent" or "sextastic."

They had one at my college. There were actually two.. one would put paper on layer by layer and it had a mild adhesive on the bottom that would stick it to the layer below. It would stack these sheets of paper one by one and cut the outline so that you could make all kinds of small 3d objects. They showed us a few simple things like bolts and such but it could do more.

The other machine used the same concept, but with thin layers of wax, so you actually had a solid wax model in the end. It could do fine lines and such but because it was wax I'm sure the result wasn't very sturdy.

I was told that there is a machine that will do it with clay too.

A while back someone posted a link at the elYsiun forums for a free program that would unwrap your mesh for you to scale, then you could print it out and cut the strips of paper out, folding them to form your model. I'll try to dig up the link.

I had a friend who turned in the same sheet of homework for 2 weeks and got full credit.

It works well. ;)

Yeah, it wasn't until the end of the semester that I figured out that they never graded my pre-labs in chemistry. I realized I'd forgotten to do my pre-lab 10 minutes before class started and I filled it in with nonsense answers, only to recieve full points. I had a lazy TA.

I actually knew the first two on that page..

Can somebody animate this dog(Walking only)?

That picture is ripped!

Which was already mentioned, and I believe he's going to try to do something his self now, so calm down. DG's "tag team" analogy wasn't so far off.

umm...but when i try to enter the "GIMP" link i cant enterÃ,  :-\

If it's not a different color then chances are it's not a link :)

Here, http://www.gimp.org

Be SURE to download and READ the manual - it isn't an intuitive program.

It's a very big program, I hope you have broadband internet service (cable or DSL).

There'a nothing wrong with loving maths... I hope..
I happen to enjoy maths, i just hope it won't be the other way around later on ;).

My Calculus professor told us that when he was in college he bought all of the math books that he could afford, and worked out the problems until he fell asleep on top of the books. Then he would wake up, eat, and do more math. Crazy. He also told lots of Math jokes.

I have a friend and her parents didnt want her to take sex-ed. One day she comes up to me and says, "Doesnt it suck to have your penis hard all the time?" I responded with "My penis isnt hard all the time. No ones is."

..."Oh."

Keep in mind this girl is 18. She had no idea.

Once a girl in my senior class (also 18) thought I had crushed my penis when I crossed my legs.. I guess she just didn't think it was possible? She was also very religiously sheltered, and soon after moved out (she wanted to rebel) of her house and became one of those girls who sleeps with lots of men. I'm sure she understands better now.

If it weren't for school I never would have known how to have sex, because of the way my parents are. Oh wait, the internet..

So what the hell happened at their wedding night? Did they just sit and hold hands for the evening?

What else would you do?

What is sex?

There are always good deals on pricewatch.com, but pay close attention to the features (some laptops don't come with batterys and they work like PC's with the fan always on). I also don't know if they list UK suppliers, sorry.

I don't see why he'll have to, Night of the Hermit was made with many many ripped sprites

if this is how he chooses to work at the moment, than that's that, no?

Somewhat, he's going to need to learn SOMETHING, isn't he?

Legge, ever heard the saying, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day, but teach him how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime?"

You keep asking for fish, when you need to learn how to paint or animate your own sprites.

Check 'em out.

Tutorials in the Critics lounge

The big list of paint programs (also Critics lounge)

You asked for a 3d sprite the other day.. so maybe you're interested in that? If so, go to blender.org and you'll find a link to the manual on the left sidebar. At blender3d.org you will be able to download Blender (3mb). Pretty much everyone here hates it, but I learned on it and maybe that's why the interface makes sense to me.

Look, it's really frustrating when you can't draw any good and you see other people's stuff looking so awesome.. but they all started with crap skills too. It took practice.

Animating isn't so tough either, if you learn to use layers in a program like Gimp (it's not the best animating tool, but a start).

Did you draw that dog? You can't just rip artwork from anywhere man, you're going to have to learn to draw sometimes.

Maybe having a password system for Unregistered posting would be a good idea. When you join up, you get a Guest password that you can use when just quickly putting something in...

Wouldn't that be just like, I don't know, logging in? And isn't there a log-in time limit when you do it, so that you won't stay logged in? It's not that much of a hassle, though I've posted as a guest before too.

That's what the "Report to moderator" link and the PM'ing system are for.

If you can't control yourself, why try to control other people? Does the forum really need to reach a nazi state with a harder test? The test is quite frankly very annoying as-is to people who aren't n00bs and have to waste time with it.

You even posted this in the wrong forum. This isn't adventure related at all.

I'm dropping out.. just got a job and I've been haphazardly joining large game projects on the side anyway.

I'll still try to get some tutorials up for people interested in 3d without the piracy, har har.
