Haven't seen. Downloading, ~15%.

If you're keen on movies of this sort, try Fallen Art (Sztuka Spadania in Polish). It's available on DVD/VHS and it's really worth buying.

Tomek Bagiński was also the guy behind quite popular The Cathedral (Katedra), which won an international compo as the Best Animated Short. It is said that he was making it for 6 years, on his own.

Honestly, the thing I liked the most, was the performance played while voting, :)

but LORDI was fun to watch, too. Congratulations Finland!

Lazur wins 10 years ago.

I wonder why he called her the fallen.

In those days, one of the best graphic artists in the Polish scene.

You didn't understand me, Flukeblake.

I meant the lineart should be pixelated, not just drawn with use of filters with an automatic AA. An example / tutorial.

I don't want to be rude, but you shouldn't be in a hurry. If I were you, I would place some of my works (or at least the one I wanted to use) into the General Discussion and talk over the whole thing first (there were only 5 answers). Oh, and of course, I would read a few tutorials how to draw the pixel art before staring a competition. Simply put, it won't success, unfortunately.

edit: If you still don't know of what I'm saying, try using the fill tool (e. g. in Paint) on your image.

Jesus Christ...

Not a bad idea, Flukeblake, but it's nothing new actually.

Hmm.., is that line art done by you, or have you just resized/edited the original one in some gfx program? I bet the second option. No offence, but these outlines are horrible! We shouldn't have to change them, they should be precise and made by YOU, pixel by pixel.

edit: Shit, he has just deleted it.

TheYak has posted only an example. You can't work on it, because it's compressed. Try.

Saber, your dwarf looks more like an ogre. :)

edit: I wanted to enter this one, but yet after a few sketches on paper, I realised I ain't that good at dwarves.

General Discussion / Re: 3D Car racing game?

@ fred: Doesn't work. I've placed all the game files into my Python directory, even changed the command line for all available executables and still nothing, only some lines with an error raport.

@ Hammerite: Right. I'm really impressed by people who like to make their lifes harder. :)

@ fred: Doesn't work without that Python. Where I can d/l it?

Hmm, some time ago I had an idea of making a racing game in vein of the older Lotus series or SNES' Street Racer (sprite-based). Anyway, I think e. g. MMF can handle this type of game better than AGS, although I've never made any.

At last AGS is an ADVENTURE game studio, but since they made a racing game at the Quake engine (Quake Rally), I think everything is possible.

Files. Downloading took me less than an hour. Thanks!

I wanted to ask is there any speech pack to download, since it's cut from the 23MB version, but found that link (.ISO).

The link at the games page seems broken, so I'm placing it here.

Shit, I made the same mistake. :)

Sorry.

edit: Grr! I wanted to quote this, not modify!

"...princes kept the view..."

I like the Jimi Hendrix version especially.

Yes, save it as a .PNG file.

Sounds fun!

Okay, I might put a sloopy version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" in here. :)

Simple, clear and much better than before!

I also dig your new avatars! :)

Welcome to our group. Please, before you bring the city, brings us some goods... we don't have any rum left. :(

I brought twelve ships of booze one week ago and you say there's already nothing left!? :)
