QuoteI was really enjoying Pleurghburg right up until I was shot, even though I was a police officer carrying a gun of my own, which OF COURSE I went for.

My last save was about an hour previous. Grrrr!

Lol, same thing happened to me. Haven't played it since. I didn't know you could die so didn't bother to save that often.

I'm at a loss of words to describe how cool this is. :o

Only thing that could use some improvement are the feet, less form-fitting I guess. More like this:

Otherwise, well, you know...  :)

I have a problem with my custom quit gui. It displays like it should, but a click on either button or the GUI (!) quits the  game. ???
I've posted my entire interface_click function, maybe it helps. Quit gui code is at the bottom (--- added for indentation):

(Code removed to conserve bandwidth)

GUI number is correct (5) and button (object) numbers are correct (1 and 2). GUI is "Popup modal" and buttons are "Run Script".
I'm clueless.

This is sooo great!

I don't know if you were planning to keep him walking a bit slow, but I thought I speed it up a bit. For a gif, I could only do so by an increment of 1/100s, so here goes:

(removed)

Absolutely gorgeous, if a bit fast. A middle thing between your gif and this one speedwise and we have a winner.  :)

EDIT

Scratch that. Seems my browser merely displays it a bit slow. It's awesome!

I know, I've just mirrored Darth's pic. It's for demonstration purposes only.

I'd like to see a tie-in to the blue cup theme of the editor, something like this:

That would be great. Thanks.

Awesome. Thank you!

Hi!

I tried to play Permanent Daylight the other day, but it wouldn't work with Win2k, since it was compiled for DOS apparently.

Renaming "daylight.exe" to "ac2game.dat" and trying with the latest acwin produces

Invalid file format. The file may be corrupt, or from a different version of AGS.
This engine can only run games made with AGS v2.5 or later.

Via "daylight.exe /?" I found out it was compiled using AGS 2.15 SR-2.
Can anyone provide me with said version of acwin.exe?

Thank you
Chris

Hi!

I've made a custom GUI containing a few buttons and the inventory at the lower part of the screen. "When interface disabled" is set to "GUIs grey out".

1.) Now, after a dialog ends (stop command), the GUI stays (visibly) grey until the mouse is moved over a char/obj/hotspot or gui.

2.) Is it possible to have the inventory items greyed out as well?

3.) In dialogs, the mouse cursor switches from the wait cursor to the talk (resp. previous) cursor for a split second before dialog options are presented.
That happens both with and without "Dialog options presented on GUI x".

Thanks.  :)

Why don't you go with the mesh look? Pretty cool. Could be a robot from space.  :)

Is it just me or does http://invis.free.anonymizer.com/ take forever to respond?

Quotestrazer, I'd love to make a sagging chandelier that's lightly broken, but I'm no artist so I don't think I'll be able to add that in.

I didn't realize you were going for the abandoned look, so maybe just a busted cable hanging from the ceiling would suffice.

QuoteThe overall image is a bit empty though

For the abandoned look, keep it empty.

They look more like cracks than marble, what I think it's supposed to convey.
By "details" I thought you meant a chandelier, ashtrays and so on? Looks a bit empty.

I have edited my post to avoid confusion.

And SSH, thanks for the clarification!

QuoteImports, erros, and suff

Hehe, "suff" is german for booze ;D

Quoteall the F_ vars are defined in the header

#define F_UP 0
#define F_LEFT 1
#define F_DOWN 2
#define F_RIGHT 3

Just a quick (unrelated) question: Are all defines supposed to go in the script header? I am not sure where to place them exactly.

QuoteIts in chris' list

Yikes! Sorry to be redundant. :P

Quotenot sure if those functions are written properly, but you get the idea

I think for this one occasion I'll go with my solution, but I'll certainly keep your idea in mind(=hdd ;) ). Very nice!

Thank you!
