Critics' Lounge / Moonlight painting
Tue 31/07/2007 19:44:21
I just got a new pen for my tablet yesterday after I broke it some months ago, and I've made a quick painting with it.

The thing is that there is something that is very out of place or wrong, I just can't put my finger on it.

General Discussion / Re: Expressing Atheism

That goes for the whole world..

I don't believe in a God, but I don't think I'm completely atheistic. Call me an agnostic. I don't respect christians for their beliefs, but I let them be because they are impossible to argue with due to their lack of logic while discussing religion.

The reason I've become an agnostic is probably because my brain don't have the thinking power to cope with the fact that we are just the lovechild of extreme coincidence! :) As many other people, it's probably also the "death" part of life that leads me over to the agnostic side. As with the whole coincidence thing, my brain can't calculate 'nothing'.

The fact that the guy in the streets are shouting "Oh my god, it's alive and it's huge", makes your assumption sound likely radiwaves.

And HOLY CRAP, THAT'S AWESOME! :o :D

I think the scale is 4 -4 5 -5 6 -6 -7 7 actually :P At least that's what I read, and what sounds more right IMO.

And thanks for the tabs The Orator! I'll prolly sit and practice for some hours now. Already know "Mary had a little lamb" by memory  ;D

I still have some problems playing single notes though.

I love the mood!
But you might want to add some more "stuff" there, to make it more interresting.
#307
I don't know if those will work with a D-tuned one though...

What the...? Cover two of the holes with my tongue? How can that even be possible? ??? ;D

And Harvester: Here's some beginner songs and lessons :)

Yay!

I just had a dream about harmonicas and suddenly woke up feeling 100% awake. So I pick up my harmonica and start some breathing practice I learnt somewhere. I decide that I should try to learn some real songs, so I search through the interweb and find some beginner tabs.

And about an hour later, I now play "Mary had a little lamb" and "Blowin' in the wind" pretty decent (in my opinion), with tabs of course! ;D

@Adamski: I don't understand how I could play single notes by using my tounge. A tutorial I watched told me to use my under lip in some strange way.

And do you have any tabs on "Love Me Do"? ;D

@Harvester: Try to make your own songs then! ;D

Yay! Now I have just gotten my very first harmonica! :)

A Hohner 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the tone of "C". Whatever that means.. I'm off to learn the ways of music! :D

And of course, a picture:

QuoteHello everybody. Im starting a new game here i'm kinda wanting some opinions about the game story, so i thought this was the right place to post this. (And btw i really need artists for the game! Not much experience needed.)

THE STORY:
Our hero has just managed to get away from a bunch of bloodthirsty zombies by getting into an abandoned house in the middle of nowhere. Our hero (Named Jack btw) manages to get down a hatch in the floor in this building and by using an all-armored bat mobile-ish car getting as far as possible from the zombies as possible he starts his quest trying to find the source of the horrible plague that has ruined almost all of mankind and trying to find something to stop the zombies.

Plz say your opinion about the story-

Here's mine. I don't think the post is too bad in itself though. Most because of me tlkng liek dis plx.

Holy crap!

And yes, Krysis, I also think that your second is better.
#314
Cool! :)

QuoteDon't go in there thinking it will be super easy to use

Indeed. When I tell my friends that I want to play the harmonica, they laugh of me and tell me that playing the harmonica is easy and that everyone can do without practice.. And they tell me to play the guitar instead..

Do you have any recordings of what you've done? :)

General Discussion / Playing the harmonica?
Mon 23/07/2007 23:55:51
Hello there!

Today, I decided I should learn to play the harmonica. I've been thinking of starting with guitar, but it's too big and clumsy for my taste. Especially since I'm moving to England in short time. So I wanted a small, but (potentially) good-sounding instrument and my choice naturally landed on the Harmonica. I've never heard much of harmonica, but it seems like a "cozy" little instrument that's easy to bring along.
I'm also pretty tired of all the people trying to learn the guitar lately, and I wanted to start my own little thingy. So, the first thing tomorrow I'm going to get me a 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the tone of "C"!  :D

Are there anyone else out there who plays the harmonica or who are fans of the instrument?

Well, do you have any tips of a good and free MMOG that I can try? Since you have tried so many of them, I mean.
