I'm with Zoot here! I've actually had my iPod mini for... I think just two years now! And although bulky (there are actual physical bulks in it from dropping it in the floor and on the grounds etc) and lag once in a while, it never once let me considerably down! So I would say that people who say that iPods in general have a very short life, should really check their facts.

QuoteThis is a step in the right direction though.

Yeah.. First to my knowledge that actually have a minijack output. I might be wrong tho..?

Err... You type them.. When needed, you get a keyboard to write on, on-screen. Just like a regular phone, with the ability to hide the keyboard when its useless. Wonders of touch screen... :P :)

I do have a cell phone used for calling and messaging, I have an mp3 player(although almost not working :P), and I have a laptop. The only reason I would buy it, is because it looks like a nifty gadget. I don't have any particular need for it, but it looks like a great gadget.. I like gadgets..

QuoteThe technology seems somewhat decent. Only thing to be wary of is Apple's sole partner will be Cingular (a unit of AT&T) in a multi-year agreement. No other company will be able to sell plans with the iPhone until 2009-2010. And, from what I've heard from others, Cingular is crap.

Same in my country. Only a different company tho, but really crappy.. Most likely people will crack the operator lock, and we can use our telephone company of our choice. It is being done with normal phones today, and it's perfectly legal.

Ouch... I'll just stick to my bulky, laggy iPod mini for some time to come then...
And I wouldn't actually call it a phone, as it runs Mac OSX, 8 gig hd, wireless network, 2mp cam, fits in iPod docking stations and has a normal earphone jack plug! It's more like a PDA with alot of functions, rather than a phone..

Well, as I understand it, the person wakes up or something. Looking at the angle of the eyesight, he's also sitting. Try to sit down on a chair, and pretend like you are sleeping.
You feel that? You drop your head. And again, when waking up again, you raise your head.
This illusion of movement can be done pretty easily by extending the drawing further than the "borders" or the eyelids go. Then you just move the background (or whatever you would call what you look at) downwards.
This would create an illusion of head movement, which would make the whole sequence more "alive".

It would probably help with more in-betweens. Also, you might consider only one, slower blink with more frames, instead of the two quick ones.
This could probably help bringing forth the illusion of being tired, thus making the sequence more alive!
Try it out and see what looks better!

QuoteThen you should resolute to the fact that I feel that the people mentioned act like assholes on a regular basis.

Becky, did I say this?

No?

Then you should resolute to the fact that I feel that the people mentioned act like assholes on a regular basis.

For the record, my feelings of the matter are such: If you are a moderator or of similar rank, you should act like it. Don't ban people if you are as bad.

I'll echo voh's sentiments here:

QuoteAssholes, vict0r? It'd probably be better to gain more of a clue about the situation before insulting people...

As far as I'm concerned, some of them act like assholes yes.

Several definitions of the word "Asshole":
- sphincter/anus/rectum
- someone being arrogant, rude, obnoxious, or just a total dickhead
- one who acts in a repulsive manner
- someone who thinks he's cool.. but really, really not, and goes around doing things JUST to piss people off.
- asshole is a multi-purpose label frequently used to describe an ignorant or inconsiderate person.

Again: As far as I'm concerned, some of these people act like assholes. Towards me, and from what I've seen on the logs, other people.

Err... Hajo, again you fail to amaze me. The people talking to him were clearly as talkative as him.

But as you seem to persist on being assholes, I'll just leave you alone.
#574
voh beat me to it, but yeah! The logs only prove you banned them without any good reason.. :-\
#575
Well, I can't speak for Matt here, but as I see it, he was having a good time on IRC, and noone told him he annoyed them!

QuoteSo if you're drunk, it's okay to tell people to fuck off or something if they annoy you?

As far as I can see, this is not the issue. He was banned without explanation, and sent a PM to the person responsible showing his confusion for being banned, and anger. Personally, I don't see his language as excessive but explanatory. He could have asked nice too, but that would probably have gone unnoticed..
#576
Oh! Yeah! What is it good for? Absolutely NOTHING!
#577
I could understand your ban, if you had actually warned him. As far as I can see noone asked him to calm down, or be quiet. In fact it looks more like you encouraged him, or simply ignored him.. No matter how stupid Matt acted here, you acted wrong IMO.
#578
QuoteReally, some people do get so annoying it's not surprising they get banned

QuoteUnless someone are really spamming the irc, or being a complete jerk to everyone, I don't see why anyone would be banned

You are right, I never visits the channel, but I never claimed to either. But as far as I know, Pmdee never did anything. Noone even argued against the fact that he never did anything. Except hajo, but that was so diffuse that for me, it didn't really go as a valig argument.
And Pmdee explained what happened here too.

I agree with you that someone being annoying, or spamming should be temporarily banned, but here, I only see Pmdees point of view. And it seems pretty frustrating.

#579
Yeah... Unless someone are really spamming the irc, or being a complete jerk to everyone, I don't see why anyone would be banned. I can really see why Pmdee's annoyed here.

QuoteJoke.
Humour.
Laugh.

Have you ever told a joke? Have you ever said something funny?  Have you ever laughed at someone's misfortune, no matter how small?

Someone's been on the receiving end of that humour at some point.  This time it's you.  Get over yourself.

How old are you? 12? :-\

QuoteI'm sorry you feel it's too expensive--a lot of hard work went into the game, and I didn't want to compromise that and short change ourselves, especially considering that the money will be used to pay for the expenses of Apprentice 3

This means that apprentice 3 will be free then?
