"You enjoy a song which included the words "the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had" "

If I'm not wrong, thats from a great song called "Mad World" by Gary Jules.

And you sound like me...

Hi!
I've just been accepted at a college in norway, and i'm taking the "media" classes. (movies, music, animations etc..) I've already decided to get a macbook for my studies, because i heard mac is what you should have when working with films and music and such.
But a couple of days ago, i got a mail from apple where they announce their new software, shake 4.

Looking at the site, and different reviews and such, i find the software irresistible. And the price isn't too bad either,($499.00) for a software like this. But is it worth it?
If anyone have any experience with the program, or anyone have any opinions, it would be nice if you could let me know what you think. Is it hard to work with? Too advanced for a 16-year old?

Yours truly - vict0r

I think your parents should take an active role in your intrests and find out for themselves if the game is appropriate for you. It's not up to you to tell them that it is appropriate for you. I don't think that is a decision we should make or influence.

I went to the website and the game is rated M for Mature, a 17+ rating. So, in short I would say the answer is no. However, as LGM said, if your parents are wackjobs enough to let you watch simulated murder rather than simulated sex.... Personally, I don't think you should be viewing either.

I don't want to be going all off-topic here, but I really really have an issue here. The parents shouldn't have a huge saying in what's appropriate to him. And he should definately tell them what is appropriate to him! Parents can completely go the wrong way when they underestimatethe the child, and deny them to play and watch games and movies that contain sexual content.
I mean, why should they? There is nothing wrong with watching pornographic material. Your eyes don't pop out, and your penis won't explode.
But i agree with you that it's unnatural that the parents don't have anything against violence and gore, when sex is tabu. But unfortunately/strangely, that's how the world works. Some people feel offended by sex for some reason, and make it a sin, whilst violence is thrilling and fun.

My point is; I'm tired of people saying sex (simulated, real or on-screen) is bad. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it! If it is, please tell me now, before I retire to make love to my girlfriend...

First of all, chill. I'm just commenting your pics. What did you expect us to do? Worship you? I understand that you were just looking for other greaseballs, and I didn't mean to insult you, but everyone's got an opinion. And if you are going to dress up, do it right ^^ Look at some pics from the 60's etc. Find a leather jacket, do your hair better and it'll look better. ;D

And what is "dirogitory"?

EDIT: Now those japanese are the real deal!

Erm... Jogging is a sport :P You really don't need a scoring system to have a sport.
And the doers of this sport, actually call it a lifestyle. For some reason...^^

Greaser? As in from the movie Grease? As in like 40 years ago?
You really don't look like them at all. Your hair looks normal, you wear normal clothes and a fake cigarette?!

Plus, smoking is just plain stupid, so if that is a fake cigarette, put it down, but don't pick up the real one!

And your avatar text; Greasers died 40 years ago...

Great game! Got stuck a few times, and tried to leech on someone elses hint & tips thread, but as noone had any problems with it, and I don't want to be the noob who starts a h & t thread, i just had to figure it out for myself!
Love the cliffhanger ending! You should have made it start over again or something^^ ;D

Wow! Great beat/tune thingy!
I don't have anything to say other that keep up the good work ;)
But i'd suggest that you don't add vocals. I don't really know why, but I really don't think that would make it better. :)

Critics' Lounge / Sphinx project sprites!

As most of you have already seen, the sphinx project apparently back on track, and they are asking for contributers. Being in the creative mood, I made some sprites. I did concider posting them in the Sphinx forums, or the wiki, but I would probably just screw up, and ruin something.

The characters i tried to make, is the "Obnoxious official" and an "other performer". Hoping they will include them in the game, I post them here to get some improving. :)

(ps. if posting in the sphinx forums is preferred, could anyone show me where i should post them?)

Cheers!

.mp4 works just fine in Quicktime :)

This seems like a good idea. The only thing i don't get, is where to send/add my contribution. It says in the wiki that i should link my contribution there, but it doesn't say excactly where. :P

Anywaay... Since i don't know where to post it, i'll just post it here. I tried to make it the right clothing etc. and the style weren't that hard to work with. :)

The pink box is just there to illustrate that he is sitting on something.

Actually, if you look closer she is actually facing slightly to the side. The mouth is 3 pixles closer to her right cheek, than to her left one. Same with eyes.

Hah!
