What we're getting at is that

and

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=summary

are identical. They both go to the "account settings" page.

For me, the first link sends me to my profile summary and the second link takes me to the main board index... just as (from the links' appearances) they should?  I'm very confused 

That's because you're an admin.  I created a normal user account and it looked different...

Uh, am I an admin? Because it has that same behavior for me...

Own profile (admin)
Other user's profile (admin)

Is this what you guys as normal users are all seeing?  Just want to know what I'm dealing with.

I think so. But you must be using a different theme, I guess.

I'm using the AGS compact theme.  It's more the content of the pages I care about.

Tabata means that the "Profile Info" and the "Actions" menus are missing from the normal user's profile, (on the left-hand side).

It's less obvious in the compact theme.

EDIT: I'm also getting a frame with "Database Error" at the bottom of other peoples profiles.

In your example and in Hudders version is something missing

It means that the content of the pages are different (Hudders and mine should have the same) and I think it should be like mine

Clicking on 'profile', as well as hovering over 'profile' and clicking on both 'summary' and 'account settings' all leads me to the same page.  I'm sure one of them is supposed to give me a view of my profile page.

What we mean is that there is no way for us to see our OWN profile as others would see it.  No matter where we click, we can only see the page that lets us edit our profile information, but not our actual profile page.    Both of your links quoted above go to my 'account settings' page even though one of them contains my user number.

Just make everyone an admin, that should fix the problem.

There's a real issue with using the drop down menus on a mobile phone. Since half of them have a direct link when you click on the drop down title. The only way around it is by holding down on it for a bit until it drops down. But in the process I get the "Open link in a new window" etc etc pop up on my mobile browser. So yes, I can technically get to anything within a drop down, but only if I knew that these were more than just menu links - and if I was a person smart enough to hold down on it, then press away to have the browser actions disappear.

If you're wondering what phone I'm using, I'm embarrassed to admit it's a Windows Phone 7. But not for long, I have plans to buy an Android phone within the next couple weeks.


As for this profile viewing issue, I have full access to everything in my profile and viewing it. I'm not limited like the screenshots I'm seeing.

Well I can see my own profile, but I have the Profile Info, that I was talking about/showing and that is needed for all normal users. It is missing in AGA's example version and Hudders don't have it, too.

You should check, if you are also missing it, then we know the reason.
