It was a good game, a real battle for our team as I personally thought it was going to be. Ghana played lightyears better than in their first game, now that their back was against the wall, great play by them. Deserved result, even though we could've made it 3-2 in the end a couple times.

Well, another low-scoring day, which is just a testament to the literally unpredictable nature of some of the results we've been getting. Well done to Ghana for keeping their hopes alive. I'd love to see them sneak into the next round.

I'm thinking of adding some kind of 'wildcard' feature in the knockout stages, where you can choose one game to be your wildcard and score extra points for correct guesses on that game. What does everyone think of this?

Heh... I'd been thinking of changing my prediction for the South Korea vs Algeria game, really wish I had now!  Although, SK have just pulled one back early in the second half, so who knows...

Well in terms of games played we are exactly halfway through the tournament.
Cat now has a three-point lead over her rivals, but she's by no means safe.

This is the last call for new participants. It's still mathematically possible to score 147 points, so it's definitely not to late.  Once the next match kicks off though, I'm closing the door.

That is also my designated deadline for the rest of the group stage predictions, so Of you can give me them today, those who haven't, that would be nice, although As there's only a few of you I'm not going to be strict about this.

Also, as this last round of group stage games is being played the final standings will be decided. As soon as a last 16 fixture is decided it will be open for predictions until the game kicks off. I will update the fixture list in the OP accordingly.
