Justification for Choosing
At first, I was afraid BARBARIAN vs. ROBOT would venture too far into retro territory, what with its mock copy protection wheel. I'm glad to be proven wrong: it dons the retro aesthetic and premise of a classic title with the welcome addition of some modern conveniences like voices or a swifter pace than any Commodore 64 game ever sported. Add polished animations, fair puzzles interwoven seamlessly into the funny plot and you get one of the most delightful games I've played in recent memories.
