The pet doesn't have to be an animal but it does have to be your invention - don't draw Harry Potter's owl, draw Sherlock Holmes's badger.

it took me all day, and I tried some new things out, hope you like it

the freaky outline is a thing called reverse anti alaising, and it is meant to help sprites really stand out.
