The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 CupNot serious entertainment
2 CupsA reasonable game, worth a try
3 CupsA good game, worth playing
4 CupsA great game, well worth your time
5 CupsAn outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been under-rated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"A very fluid and enjoyable driving game. Fully customizable in the type of challenge and difficulty, and the little touches such as reverse lights and type of steering make this a very well polished game. "

6 people commented on this game (newest first):

Impressively smooth scrolling and controls add up to making Road Racer a great technical achievement. The music was great, the game played well and although I'd definitely have liked to see more to do in the game, with 3 difficulty levels and 3 game modes, there is certainly enough challenge here to keep any racing fan happy for a while. This reminded me very much of the missions in Need For Speed 2000 (probably other NfS games but that's the one I've played).

Just to add, yes I found the game difficult with the times but that's what made me enjoy the game more. And made me keep playing till I had completed it. Maybe racing games aren't your forte, they are not mine and they definatly weren't before I played this game. Still a very nice poilshed game and the best AGS racing game I've played.

Thanks for the nice feed back.
Not sure why you bothered to even respond.

The game wasn't made to hold your hand.
But I'll certainly take a look at the times, and think about putting in a 'Baby' difficulty.

Sorry for the double post, but the first one was written after I played the first level and this one after playing the third one. I suddenly realised that AGS is not a suitable engine for racing games. The car moves slow on turns and therefore there's no way you can get to the end of the level in time. BY THE WAY, RYAN: THOSE TIMINGS ARE CRAZY! I can't even win "easy" mode! You have to be an addict of this game type and play it perfectly to win. I can't do it! I'm an adventure gamer not a crap gamer.

Excellent game! I like it that many users of the AGS transform the basic adventure engine into a multifunctional engine that fits their needs. Good job, ryanb84, this was a great game.

An excellent example of a non adventure game with AGS.
This game is polished and addictive, play it!
