Bit off topic, but I'm going to be getting to London on Thursday morning, which gives me an extra two days to see the city. Is anyone going to be around on Thursday/Friday and want to meet for drinks or something?

Just to remind (and inform) you and others, that Fri night we're meeting up at Dirty Dicks and on Sat night we have space reserved for drinks and food at another very nearby pub.

We'll be at DD's on Fri from about 8pm. Sat booking is also 8pm onwards but I'm sure some of us will make it there earlier... And you (and friends of the organizers) are welcome to come to the venue from 6.30 on Fri if you want to help move some tables and chairs, set anything up or just have a pre-show coffee

I'll be in London from Wednesday onwards (spending Wednesday in the office and have a Christmas dinner at night) and have nothing planned for Thu and Fri (was thinking maybe a museum or some Christmas shopping depending on the weather). I'm sure we'll meet at AdventureX but am certainly also open to saying 'Hi' beforehand (I'm not a developer but did do some beta testing on both Primordia and Blackwell Epiphany).

Very sorry to announce that Steve Ince has had to cancel due to work and other commitments. A big shame but we're going to keep our chins up and try and fill that spot with another speaker.

As much as Steve is a great guy and I really hoped to see him again, it will be a great event anyway. This year it was also the first time he had no chance to join us on our Adventure-Treff-Party in Cologne. The good thing about it is that he's busy, what means he's working on something. But there are other great people who will definitely come.

Thanks neon. Yes, I recall a post by him maybe a couple of weeks back explaining he had perhaps hit a new big/good project of some kind, so it's understandable, and he's been a bit ill lately too. No Ince Pies this Christmas, but right you are - the event is still stuffed full o' goodness

Yes, I also remember that one. He didn't confirm working on an adventure game, but at least on a game. So we can expect something, that's great news. I'm sure if he finds time next year he will come.

I'm studying in Hull, so it'll take me about three hours to get to London.

For those who still need a room, I have one single bed room left that I can't cancel anymore. It's Easy Hotel Heathrow, 45 minutes with the tube to AdvX, but only 33 GBP/night. It's booked and prepaid for Saturday and Sunday.
