Shadows of the Empire is looking to be an interesting adventure game if it ever gets finished.  And Esper, tell me you played Judgement Rites as well!

Akatosh

Heh... if it should ever get finished, that is. Probably on Duke Nukem Forever day.

Has anyone done a Red Dwarf game?
I'd really love to see that. As for the Monk game, i'm guessing you mean that ex-detective guy, I love watching monk. Can't wait for the game.

Heh, you can't wait for the monk game even before we started working? JESUS, we are good!  :=

VintageDemon - I, um, don't appear have MSN. How about ICQ? I'm 305-601-174 (Akatosh). What timezone do you live in? If it's somewhere in Europe, I think we can arrange a proper time. I'm at GMT +1, meaning "Germany".

Oh I'm sure there were a few to-game spinoffs that got it right? HHGTG is an almost-legendary text adventure. Companions of Xanth was enjoyable. Ok, those are books :)  There's quite a lot of James Bond games? Oh darn, also books. Hm.

Speaking of books, I was thinking of how I would love to see a game version of Cool Air or Pickman's model.

At the moment I am working on an idea loosely based off of Lovecraft's lesser known, er, I mean lesser referenced material like mentioned above as some others.

But I would love to see a "fall of the house of Usher" game.

There was a Fall of the House of Usher game. I forget all about it though. I think FotHoU might have been one of the scenarios in The Dark Eye, but I don't know.

And Progzy, in my version of ST:25th Anniversary there was a long trailer advertising Judgment Rites. Alas, I searched high and low for it, and could never find it.

Most of these are already games! Just not adventure games..

"Justice League"

Crap beat em up RPG game.

"Batman"

Always a crap game.

"Futurama"

Crap shoot em up adventure game.

24

Average game.

Star Wars

(Being made into a  p' n c' with AGS, no?)
Some good, most crap.

True, but I would like to see them as adventure games. And shadows of the empire is great, but I would also like to see the two trilogies made into PNC adventures.

It's a good job you thought of it, you're exactly the kind of quick witted journalist I want on my newspaper, you're hired!
Bye bye thankyou I love you.

Mr Flibble

I started, and later stopped, a Red Dwarf fangame. I got most of the sprites done, they looked pretty spiffy too.

TheVintageDemon: You had me worried at "funkay" and positively scared at "muscular hardcore". :P
Ah! There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling!

esper

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet...

there were two x-files games made that I know of, one an interactive movie and the other a resident evil clone called Resist or Serve.  Why is Scully so huge?

mkennedy

There were 2 "Evil Dead" based games and one based on "John Carpenter's, the Thing", Not to mention countless "Lord of the Rings" games. There are also a few "Pirates of the Caribean" games avialable and an online version coming up if I'm not mistaken. The genre could probably best be classified as "Fan work" (unless it's comercial) and could extend to fan games, fanfiction, and fan art. Some good ideas for adventure games I'd like to see:

Futurama
Simpsons
SouthPark
Evil Dead/Army of Darkness
Doctor Who

Other sources for fan games:

Battlestar Galactica (has no one thought of this?)
Lost (There may be a comercial one in the works...)
24
Babylon 5
Star Trek
Star Wars

Erenan

The Bunker

blueskirt

For Star Trek and Futurama, there is already Space Quest which is basically scifi and parody in the same game. And there's also 2 Star Trek adventure games by Interplay.

For Batman it really depend which Batman you got in mind, if it's the old 60s Batman, Fatman is in the same vein.

Superhero League of Hoboken is pretty much like Justice League, except more funny and more crazy.

Prison Break would be nice but I don't know how it could be done with today's adventure games standards (no death sequences, no walking deads, no timers...). I guess it would require solving a certain problem everyday rather than total free roaming.
