AGS offers so much yet no one uses it. Will there ever be a PERFECT game. Every script possible used. All 299 rooms used. All views and characters used. ALL backgrounds look more perfect than the LEC backgrounds. CAN IT BE DONE?

Your definition of perfect is rather strange.
Quality over quantity. Just make a game with whatever suits it and the average person (at least in this community) I'm sure will be thrilled to play it.

IMO there is no point in making a game with "all" the feature used, 99.9999% of chance that such a game would just be complete crap, as the creator just wanted to use "all" the features on purpose, not for the good of the game itself.

Remember, AGS (alongside with all other game engines) is just a tool, it wont automagically turn your game into a good one even if it has many good features and you use most of them, quality of games relies on 1. the design and 2. the implementation. Though using a more powerful environment (game engines, utilities, tools, etc.) may help in implementation, but the design of it is still very important and shouldn't be neglected (most modern games lack good design).

Moreover, you "can" use more than 299 rooms in AGS.

Reminds me of RPGCreator's alleged game...

Hmmm.. it's hard to imagine a game that huge, anyway. The only story I can think of that could be big and legendary enough would be Lord of the Rings... in excruciating detail.

You CAN cut off your legs with a rusty wood saw.  It's just not necessarily a good idea.

Wouldn't this game be un-downloadably huge?

I got stuck with The Surprinsing Chinchilla of Fate because it was too big to upload anywhere, and that didn't have more than 60 rooms! (hell, I don't think it even had 60!)

You're forgetting the fact that people can make original games with original stories.  For the past two years I've been working on a game that IS that huge.

So far, I've just been working on the plot, storyboard, and dialogue.  I figure it's best to get that out of the way before I actually start implementing.  It's taken me so long because I've been trying hard to come up with an actual original plot.  So far, I think I've succeeded in at least 75% originality, which is pretty good considering how everything's already been done before.

I'm not going to reveal any details to anyone (unless you want to help me make this game).  What I'm saying is that it IS possible to come up with something good, original, and epic.  Writing an epic really isn't as easy as someone might think, though.  I'm having to divide my story into at least three parts, just because of AGS' limits.

I'm NOT trying to use every feature of AGS.  I don't see the need.  A good game is good just because it is what it is (does that make sense?).  You don't have to use everything in AGS to make a good AGS game.
