Sir Bob

Ok, some may have noticed the site going down for the last day. The issue has been fixed and nothing was lost. We are also now using a new domain, mmgames.org .

Thank you for your patience.

Also, we are getting along quite nicely and progression is being very smooth.

have you got a full cast yet? are you still looking for voice actors?

Brad Newsom

Never noticed this project. Glad to see it being remade. Make sure to find voice actors for this project. I'd say Roberta Williams would've been a perfect voice for Princes Rosella. One problem I have with this project so far is the fact that the backgrounds don't look dark/scary enough. What I felt when first playing the fourth game was that it had a really dark story and a lot of locations revolved around dark environments. I really don't see that at all in the graphics, but I guess I have to wait since those backgrounds take place away from the truly creepy environments. I guess waiting will have to be my game for now.

Best of luck to the project.

Right now we have halted the production of voice acting all together. We feel that we were getting ahead of ourselves when we started asking. Auditions will definitely open again, in due time.

I just wanted to say congratulations on your work on this project so far and thank you a ton for volunteering however much free time all of you are dedicating to this project. I for one love all these remakes and dont mind the waiting because if you follow suit with other remakes, and I'm sure you will, the wait is always so worth the final product.
I really hope that all these fan remakes reach the ears of VU or any of the game developers to show that the old school adventure game genre is still alive. I really wouldnt even mind they started production a few more adv games that kept the same feel as the ones from the 80s and 90s. How cares about graphics when you can have hand painted backgrounds. Thanks again in advance for your time and efforts as I'm sure your project will be as kick ass as the ones before you.

I do however have a question for you. Will the 1:1 remake launch at the same time as your enhanced twist on the game? I cannot wait to you play your 1.5 version if its anything along the lines of AGD Interactive's Kings Quest 2 1.5 remake.

We will first release the 1:1 remake, then a "plus" version. We are currently working on the standard version, and will be releasing a demo of it in a few months (but hopefully not too long  ;)).

Thw graphics look appealing. As someone who's currenlty playing King's Quest IV, I'd like to offer this suggestion:

We'll take that into consideration. ;)

Hey, we are looking for sprite artists if anyone is interested. Actually, let me rephrase that. We NEED sprite artists.

Elessar

Apologies for the long wait, there are not many people on the team as it is, and other 'real life' issues seem to be slowing progress drastically.

If anyone out there has experience as a sprite artist and can make Sierra style sprites, we would be grateful if you dropped by our forums, thank you.

In the mean time, we have made a short promo, that has been posted on YouTube:

Also, we have posted a contest on the forums, so make sure to drop by.

Wow. this looks awesome! (watched the Youtube Promo)

I grew up playing each Kings Quest game with my mother. (we didn't like 7 at all though..) We restarted the series , and we are now on four. I can't wait to show her all the new "re-made" Kings Quests! (Four was her favorite)

I agree with you. Although KQ VII was enjoyable I much preferred the old more D&Dish KQ games. The puzzles in VII were way to easy. The Cartoony graphics were more suited to Torrin's Passage that they made with the same engine later. And even though KQ VI had some cartoon comedy most of the game was an adult fairy tale.

Just wanted to stop by and say that I love the work that you have done so far on this wonderful game! It was time to bring King's Quest IV back and with better graphics and sound.

If I can help as a beta tester, please don't hesitate to ask.

Right now we're working on a demo. But we might be able to use you when the time comes. Just stop by our forum and leave a post about it and we'll get back too you when the game is nearing completion. :)

Sounds great! Thanks for the superfast reply! Also very happy to hear that you will be doing this game with added voices actors!
