Idea - The underlying idea to the background. Doesn't
necessarily have to coincide perfectly with the theme of the
week, just strike you as interesting/amusing/inspiring; a place
you'd really enjoy visiting within a game.

Atmosphere - How well the image manages to evoke a certain feeling or mood.

Design - How well the elements in the image are designed,
such as landscapes, buildings, decorations, clouds, doorknobs,
etc.

Composition - How well the elements in the image work
together/are positioned in relation to each other.

But I can see that joel's could had great design with ancient greekish architecture, but there was too little objects and wall/floor details too show it, so the design-vote went to nihilyst.

Hmmm... this is  hard one - both zyndikate's and nihilyst's are very good, in every aspect. I vote for zyndikate on this one, but nihilyst is very, very close. Fantastic work, you too!

Normally I look down on giving all votes to the same entry, but it's looking tempting this time around .

Idea - nihilyst. Zynd's premise was very funny and original, but nihilyst took it a step further.

Atmosphere - zyndikate. The atmosphere in this piece is incredible. It looks very much like a real tv-set, and the lighting differences accentuate the mood.

Design - zyndikate. The design is magnificent in my opinion. Colour choices are very well made, the shapes are great, the right areas are emphasized. Overall very very interesting. Design-wise this may be the closest I've seen anyone come to a CMI-like bg. Sure the details are a bit lacking at places, but you hardly notice that, right? My only complaint is that the bench in the foreground is a bit distracting, because it looks a bit too bright (yet stale).

Composition - zyndikate. Well, the composition is where I think the strength of this piece lies. I mean, it's not the best I've seen ever, but it's definately one of the best I've seen hereabouts.

Technique - zyndikate. Zynd's technique is closest to my heart. Nuff' said.
