looks good, but should he really look "at my face"? add a little "bending" on the foot as he walks and it will be nearly perfect...nice work

I don't know if it's just the avi compression, but the limbs look a little blurred.
Maybe that's because you rotated them in photoshop?
If so, I'd have turned off the smoothing first, then retouched them to smooth out the lines if necessary.
(You can turn off filtering on free transform in General Preferences.)

Still looking forward to this game,

I like all of these, but commenting on the color, I learned this from my Humanities class. Ancient Egyptians were color blind.. they weren't selective on color when they chose wives, etc. They were every shade from white to black, and over time arrived at the blend that they are today with hardly any white people left. So your black Egyptians aren't unusual, and you could even include some white Egyptians. Especially since they did have lots of white slaves.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

If you're going for realism, shouldn't the walk cycle look like this?

Sounds like your Humanities professor was pulling your leg.

[edit]
Oh wait, you meant "colour blind" as in "colour tolerant".
Heh.

Shbaz: Maya is staying the colour he was and Ay is even darker-skinned than Horemheb. As for other characters: we'll see (if they have a walkcycle, they'll probably be the same color as Horemheb to save me some effort!)

I've added the north walkcycle and Horemheb's back looks rubbish, so please can I get some advice on better pecs!

The walking cycle looks a tad strange, but still very good. What does the walking cursor look like? could you post a pic of it?

I think the problem with the back is that the spine is so dark- it looks like he's had spinal surgery and there was a horrible scar.  You could try lightening that a little, and maybe making it a bit thinner and not going down his whole back.

Sssshhhh!!! No sex please, we're British!!- Pumaman

Probably not too relevant, but someone mentioned it. How do you turn off smoothing when making adjustments in ohotoshop?
LucasArts rocks!

Kweepa

Photoshop 7 anyway.
Go to General Preferences, and set the filtering to nearest neighbour.
