Hello again.
Here is the final version of my second Bg for my new game. The critics are welcome.

I made it only with MS-paint

BG looks really good, NaStY...

Is it just me, or the cabin is going to fall (towards the far side of the cliff)?
I think you should add some length to the pole that holds the cabin, and turn the entire cabin a little bit to the right-down side (although the second fix would be almost impossible in MS-Paint).

You might also reduce the saturation of the colors you used for the sand and the trees (the green part of the trees, of course).

The rock on the sand (in the left) is too flat, and also a bit fuzzy.

Other than that, the background is great. I especially like the colors and the amount of detail of the cabin. The shading is also top notch.

Good work!

I bet that you can do a lot better with paint shop pro or photoshop. Not that this looks bad, but....

Ginny

Great! I like the curving of the sea, the way it goes behind the rock.

Reduce the saturation a little bit on the sand and trees maybe (though I like they're color right now), andadd some more shading in some parts I think.
Also, about the pole, at the middle of it where the bush is, a berry seems to be in front of the pole instead of behind it. There's also a slight problem with the cabin, it looks like the cabin isblending into the sand behind it, or something.. I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

umm, you already know what i think of the colors, i guess. so here's another suggestion :

instead of using those small unaesthetic 1-pixel-wide lines (on the sand, the water, the cloud and the trees), maybe you could make some surfaces with a darker shade for each color.
the style of the picture would be slightly different, but it would make it more interesting.
if you don't see what i mean, i'll try to make an example...

another thing : mspaint is not the most useful program out there, but it could be good enough for the style you're aiming at. i strongly recommend that you avoid using the default colors like you did ; instead, try to get familiar with the color-selecter and use less ...aggressive colors.

Thank you :))
Please make an example of what you thought about:))
;DSoon I`ll release my third Bg.

Vel

Geez. Dont release EVEYTHING you make. Just work on your game. This is a place where you can ask how to improve your art and music, not to show off.

Fizz

well executed but not very original perspective if you ask me. and stop making my eyes melt...

Apart from the colorintensity that has been mentioned a couple of times I think the biggest issue is the flatness of the pic.

Although there are some shadows present I think you need to define the form of the objects with shading.

Taking the trees as an example, they re basically spheres. So in order to make them appear threedimensional, determine where the lightsource would be and shade them accordingly (at present it looks like the sun is right above the beach).

If you re unsure of how to go about doing this, hold a spherical object (ball, orange etc) under a lamp and study the shades in different angles.

And btw, the shadow below the bush suggests that it s hovering above the ground. I d skip that one or make it thinner.
