Hi all!
I'm doing this Star Wars P'n'C as a long therm project. For the graphics, I'm going in the classical direction...320x200. I don't know which way I'm going story-wise... but I think I might just retell Episode I. Anyways, here's a background I was working on, the Jedi Council, Coruscant. Background is animated. Some comments and critics would be sweet.  :D

btw, I hate the fact that firefox 3 blurs the strechet images...Is there any way to avoid that?

Wow, that really looks professional and retro, and the FoA-GUI adds to it. The characters look awesome.

Some minor things:
- I'd center the verb-labels. As for now, some are a bit off (i.e. Schließe and Drücke, maybe Ziehe)

Weiter so!

As far as I know, the only way is to use Firefox 2.

Incredible, nothing bad to say, I'd just imagine that airtraffic in movement, should be awesome!

Only C&C I can do, is the perspective is a bit closed; this kind of door/window from the player sees the scene. Maybe a large (width) perspective (more "american camera") could be better.

This is beautiful.
The only problem is that the floor seems slanted... as though everybody's seats would slide towards the camera if they weren't bolted down.  I think it has to do with what is outside but I can't articulate what is going on.

I think it looks very good!  One thing is that if it's not just for a cutscene, I'm sure the player will have trouble making out a clear exit here.  Also, those grey shapes dotting the sky aren't permanent, are they?  I thought they might be ships, but there are too many of them, and I think they clutter up the scene a bit.

Yeah, it's because the vanishing point of the floor (implied mainly by the perspective of the circle in the center of the floor and the scaling of the chairs) is much higher up than the horizon. That would mean that the floor is tilted up relative to the ground.

If you imagine the floor extending to infinity, with a line of identical circles stretching out in the distance until they disappear, that point where they disappear is where your horizon should be. Currently, I would estimate this to be around the top edge of the background, maybe even higher, so you wouldn't see the horizon at all from this angle.

If you want to keep the horizon where it is, you need to "tilt" the floor down and away, by flattening the circle. It doesn't have to be perfect, you can probably cheat it: move the horizon up a bit, tilt the floor down a bit, and hope people don't notice the remaining discrepancy.

Whow, I never realy cared to much about perspective, but yeah, now that you mention it, it realy looks odd. Thanks for the hints how to fix that, I'll try my best on that. And the gray dots aren't there permanently, the are fully animated to give the illusion of air-traffic. Maybe I'll upload a demo soon, so you could see how it seems.

I also like it a lot, also good choice on the GUI colors.
This could turn out to be, what Lucas Art should have done years before - though I liked the post clonewars universe much more :P

Yeah, you mean the time around episode III? I still got no good story, so any suggestions would be welcomed^^

Why is Qui-gon carrying some poo?  ???

I kid, I kid. ;)

That seriously looks awesome, I'm very impressed. I wouldn't be too fussed about the perspective unless it's a quick and easy fix, it still looks great. Good work.
