HI there !
this time i'm working on my first real room, with real i mean it isn't just a test, i really wan't this room to be great so the rooms that come next are great too!!!

It's suposed to be the main characters room in a kind of academy, you may say it's kinda big for a academy room but the size is part of the (suposed age in which the game takes place)
the room isn't finished there are some things that need to be colored but I wan't you to help with the shading, the style ( it's suposed to be NOT a cartoon style)I wan't it to be realistic!and if you want you could sugest what objects could be in the room (note the room is suposed to be nice and clean not with stuff lying around)
here is the image:

and biger

Please help me i'm new to this!
Ps: the whit square on the wall is a veryyy bright window

Here is a screenshot so that you can see the Bg with the character the "ball" on the bed is the cursor that in wait are 3 dots that apear one after another the face of the character is actualy moving the mouth!:)

I don't know why the cuality of the last image is worse than the others the bg looks just like the ones above please don't get confused,it's just for referense

The bed seems waaay too big compared to the character and doors.

Gazzo

Glockenspiel

The room seems to be pretty empty. How about ad a table? A bookshelf? Etcetera, etcetera.

This room is coming on very nicely, but it has a case of the sitcoms. You can remedy that by putting some objects up against the invisible fourth wall. I'd suggest a writing desk in the bottom left of the bedroom.

It could also do with some signs of having been lived in. Boxes under the bed, magazines on the dresser, pictures on the walls.

Cino

Is it intentional that some edges are awfully sharp and some blurry? It bothers me a bit, but maybe it's just me.

Gazzo, if you're going to enlarge a photo, use multiples of the original dimensions.Ã,  Otherwise the larger image will look blurred.

500x375 (Your post).

640x480 (Standard 2x zoom).

SinSin's edit confuses me. I don't see how that works correctly. The light source should be the "vanishing point" not the corner of the wall. From your light source (sun, street lamp, headlights) draw lines to the corner of your objects. Depending on the room and the objects, some light might reflect and some won't be really crisp. Like around noon the sun can't be used as a vanshing point, so the center of the window could be used.

It's not a perfect method, but it'll give each room it's own personality other then just using the corners of your window.
