Hello my dears,

since we are kind of a family, I want to greet you all from ? ? ? (a well known place in Europe)

... and hopefully some of you will use this thread to share a little piece of  their holidays, too.

abstauber

Greetings to Vienna ;D

I hope you enjoy your holidays!

(for my greatest time of the year, just see the mittens thread ;) )

Greetings to Vienna ;D

Isn't that the London Eye?  ;)

Best vacation moment this summer was being dragged out paintballing by my little cousin.  He's like 12 and small for his age, so it was like trying to hit a sparrow.  I, on the other hand, got hit about a million times.  I still have a few welts and bruises, and that was almost a month ago.  Still, lots of fun if you're into masochism....

Happy Labor Day to any body here that celebrates it.

Well, at least it's a day off from work. Yay!!

Calin Leafshade

How strange, for some reason I was 100% sure that you were a brit, Domino.

Dunno why..

Ali

It wasn't really a holiday, but I did go here:

And I got to use my two Parthenon jokes. The first is saying, "look at that thousands of years old and they still haven't finished it..." Greek people love it when you say that.

The second only works if you're British. You go up to Greeks and say, "yeah, this place is pretty nice, but you know what would look great here? Some marbles. Some kind of marbles depicting mythical battles, have you considered that?"

They also find that hilarious.

Wonkyth

Still a few more weeks 'till I hit my holidays...  :'(

That aside, I hope everyone is enjoying themselves adequately, and I don't have to intervene.
"But with a ninja on your face, you live longer!"

Why did you ever think that Calin?  :=

Have you ever checked my location on my profile?

Ponch

Isn't that the ferris wheel from Six Flags St. Louis?  ;)

Hope you're having fun wherever you are!

Dualnames

Ali, you bastard!

Also I find the first joke hilarious as hell!!
I find the second one a bit meh, but definitely the first cracked me up :D
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

Phemar

Wasn't really a holiday, but I went here earlier today:

Bought myself a pack of smokes.

Damn you, Dualnames. 'Meh'?  At least do me the honour of being offended and/or outraged when I tease your nation about the Elgin marbles!

Ghost

Have fun in Vienna, Tabby! Also, there used to be a cool place really close to the Prater, called "Olle Bude". Ask around if it's till there, go there and order the "Filterloses Studentenfrühstück" and kiss your kidneys goodbye. Strongest coffee I've ever tasted.

Tabata

Thank you all for your wishes and yes, abstauber won!
It's the Giant Ferris Wheel from Vienna.

This sounds ...  - ähem â€" (I  have to think about ;))

Clever Wonkyth! ... and to find the site form a special one, just take a peek in the properties of the pic.
Most of them show the sites-name at the beginning.

... and there are a very lot of them to find ...

Ali's joke reminds me of “some” AGS-developer somehow
and Phemor together with Ghost's “Filterloses Studentenfrühstück” (thanks for the tip)

Very interesting, where you all are lurking around â€" tell and show your family more, please

Never heard about these marbles before. Very interesting how some Earl just went to Athens and "borrowed" them.

Ali

We prefer 'rescued' or 'liberated'.

In the same tradition, many young Londoners recently liberated a lot of mobile phones and sports clothing.

Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs!

Instead of opening a new thread, I hold on to this one, because
... it's time again for a greeting to my family from ? ? ? !

Hope you are all well
... and maybe to find some pics of what you are doing these days when I am back home ;)

Cheers
Tabata

Edit:
.... and just to solve this one ~ it's been greetings from the Camargue for you  ;D
