Congrats!

I wouldn't had gone for Golf though, because by my philosophy, the benefits of the car should be maxxed out, I mean, it has to be as roomy as possible, looking as good as possible, etc.

You're buying gas this way or another. Why not get maximum space and looks for it?
This is why I would have chosen something else in this price class, maybe an older Audi, Toyota Corolla or 3-series BMW.

But from all other technical aspects, Golf isn't a bad choice at all, it has repeatedly proven its quality and worth.

Drive safely!

Thanks InC! I actually think the golf looks great though, so for me it's pretty much maxed out for my price range! :) And it's apparently in a great shape as the previous, and only, owner were an older guy who only used it back and forth from the store and who had a son who were a car mechanic.

Was the only other driver an old lady who only drove it once a week to go to church?

:D  Maybe not, but sounds like you were fed a line or two!

Plus the steering wheel is clearly installed upside-down.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

are you selling? What year is it? Who were the previous owners? Service history? ;D

I'm used to seeing pics like those, only on www.I'msellingmycarrightnowdude.com!

Either way, congrats and enjoy! Freedom and financial burden is upon you now! ;D

Congrats Victor.
Say, could you explain how they examin the divers test.

A guy sits by you and measures all the mistakes you make, say, speeding, ignoring a stop sign, driving over a pedestrian etc. It's mostly subjective, but they're very strict here at least, so changing line when you shouldn't par exemple always results to failing, no room for consideration I guess.

This is my current car. I bought it back in 2001, but am saving money to buy a new car because my poor Lumina is having some medical problems.

You can also see that it is starting to rust really bad.

I'm gonna miss you sweety!!
