Hehe, I just saw this on Craig's list and I thought I would share.  And NO! this isn't my ad.  Just enjoy.

Snake

Sounds hilarious, but I can't seem to find it...
Grim: "You're making me want to quit smoking... stop it!;)"
miguel: "I second Grim, stop this nonsense! I love my cigarettes!"

RickJ

How about that, they deleted it.   I should have clipped the text out and quoted it here... to para phrase it went something like ...

" .... Free cheating whore bitch, just come haul her away ...  I just want her gone..." - Location: (Whoresville  )

I love 'stunts' like this for some reason!

Man or woman, I love seeing a cheater put in their place (probably 'cause I've been cheated on and know how it feels.  In case you don't know; it's quite horrible).  As long as it doesn't involve physical violence I think it's a case of the cheater getting what they deserve.

My favorite, recent one, was: guy dumps girl instead of proposing. She thought he was going to propose.

So priceless.

It's a long clip, but well worth the listen.  There's two sides to every story of course but judging by her reactions I'm inclined to side with the guy in this case.

hahaha ;D That was absolutely brilliant, thanks!

This is my favourite: Hidden Weapons!
Edit: Well, favourite craigslist thing! Not cheater thing.

Just for the record, the ad didn't have any personally identifying information such as phone number, address, etc.   I suppose they took it down for fear of a hitman emailing the dude to offer his services ;).

Shane 'ProgZmax' Stevens

That was awesome, Darth.  I wish I'd have thought of that way back when I was going to propose to a cheating bitch.

Andail

I have to say I'm a bit skeptical about that radio stunt.

I always feel a bit uneasy when random people, especially in a public context, pass judgment on certain individuals whom they've never met, or know anything about. Why should their private conflict be a matter for public speculation? I just feel extremely awkward when I listen to it.

To me it's beyond comprehension how the hosts can mock her and laugh about the situation. Awkward awkward awkward.

Khris

Funny stuff! :)

I've listened to something similar on a radio station from Hamburg. People can call if they suspect their partner to be cheating on them, and the hosts, a guy and a girl, will then call the partner and ask them on a date while the caller can listen in on the reaction.
One time, some guy answered the girlfriend's phone because she was in the shower. When she came on, she even wanted to meet with the host for a date although she was already having two boyfriends! The caller started to scream at her and it came to light that she was actually seeing him on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only while she spent the three days in between with the second guy. On Sunday, her free day, she wanted to meet the host...
Another time, a caller found out that his girlfriend was working as a prostitute on the side, and when he confronted her, she asked him where he had thought all the money for the car and expensive vacations came from...

So funny :)

Ali

I'm afraid I'm with Andail, and can't find this sort of thing enjoyable or funny because it grows out of bitterness and the intimate relationships of people I don't know.

Maybe I should just go and press some flowers, or something.

Ryan Timothy B

I also agree that it's far too personal, bitter and two sided for my taste in entertainment.

Darth Mandarb

I find the airing of extremely personal matters uncomfortable in almost all cases however, when it comes to cheaters, they deserve to be humiliated like this.  It makes me feel uncomfortable either way, but cheaters deserve it (in my opinion).

I find cheating to be despicable and think (aside from physical violence) that all forms of humiliation are fair-game.

To hear this "woman" say that she loves him and wants to spend forever with him all the while knowing she's cheating on him?  Bitch.

He should have invited her entire family out to dinner and done this stunt in front of all of them.  That might be enough to equal what she deserved.

DISCLAIMER: Having been cheated on before I admit to being slightly biased on this subject so if I'm offending anybody, I apologize

I find the argument that cheating, out of all crimes and sins, deserve this kind of retaliation a bit contrived. I agree that cheating is despicable, make no mistake, but it's not exactly illegal. In most cases, it's the result of a problematic history between two people, in a private sphere that nobody else knows anything about. I think this is the key fact here; we don't know their history, the circumstances and characteristics of their relationship, or anything at all.

Darth, you say that you've been cheated on yourself, and admit that you might be biased. This is probably very true; you project your own feelings onto their situation, and you feel like justiced has been carried out.

I would also like to reitterate that regardless of the validity of this "punishment", hearing adult men mock and jeer someone who's crying just gives me the creeps.

Darth Mandarb

Meh ... we all know my proclivities about dealing with "offenders" :)  So I'll bow out of the 'right or wrongs of this stunt' discussion as it's just a matter of personal feelings.

I know that through my life I've experienced some extremely humiliating situations/events (and been jeered/teased viciously too) and I'd rather feel all that humiliation and jeering combined every day for the rest of eternity than feel the way being cheated on feels even one more time.

Scarab

I remember hearing this one thing on the radio where they called some guy and told him that he had won a draw for a bunch of flowers, and asked him who he wanted them to be delivered to, the premise being to find out if he had a second girlfriend.
His girlfriend wasn't too happy when she head him ask for them to be sent to his wife...

Haha they do this on our radio stations as well.

Agreed, cruelty is never justified regardless of the crime.

Stupot

I won't lie.  I found it funny.  She got her come-uppance.  Sure, it was extreme and cruel but that's exactly WHY it was funny.  There's no point getting all moralistic about it (as folks tend to do on these boards).  It's entertaiment.

Have you never seen those skating videos, where dudes slip, their legs falling either side of the railings and their bollocks crushed.   Ouch!... painful right.  I know every bloke here would empathise with said dudes, and most women too... it's never comfortable viewing to watch someone get hurt, especially there... but here's the point... it's still fucking funny!  I don't go "oh no, this guy did not to deserve to hurt himself so... I'm going to make a point of not laughing and then feel smug about how moral I am".  Instead, I just laugh because it's funny.
