Woo! Zombies Ate My Neighbours!

Of course the SNES-version was much better since apparently it was harder... and on SNES. :P

SNES, without a doubt.

I've had mine since '94 and it still plays like I just took it out of the box.

It is, without a doubt, the sturdiest console in history.

Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Super Castlevania 4, Super Probotector, Sunset Riders, and the fantastic Cybernator...
...All Konami games, who were in their prime during their SNES years...

Get the SNES...Old NES machines are notoriously tricky to get to work properly, unless they've been kept dust-free...

The console you are looking for is the SNES, the greatest console in history. Graphics on the NES (and it kills me to say this) aren't of the quality of the Sega Master System, but the SNES is just so much better than the Mega Drive.

Don't listen to those that would lead you down the false path of Sega, particularly Scummbuddy and his cartridge eating comrades.

Plus a plumber could easily beat a hedgehog - even a fast one.

No greater moment in history. Sure, you can do all that using emulators, but aside from being illegal, it is less fun.
I loved Sunset Riders. Although I had it on my SEGA. The thing is, SEGA was mainly about platformers/Action Games, while SNES was for RPGs. Sure, they had alot of each, but those games were generally shared on both systems. MK3, BattleToads, Sunset Riders, Earthworm Jim, they could all be found on both. So, unless you have a fetish for either Sonic or Mario (and I preferred Sonic ;)), the type of game you want will be the deciding factor.

I used to have that laser gun thing for my NES. However the only game I remember playing with it was some western where you could shoot the guys pants off- weird

Now, with his very own game: Alien Time Zone

Sunset Riders on the Megadrive (Genesis) was a cut down version compared to the SNES version. A lot of Konamis SNES titles were different when they were ported to the SEGA machine. Different, as in, inferior. :o

NES/Famicom. All the way NES, and not SNES.
Why?

Technõs Nekketsu games.
That's why.

...OMG!!!
*panically searches for the CD with NESticle and 1000+ roms

Both Famicom and roms are very cheap now, I saw brand new famicom console at the store for a $5 last week. Games are priced about as much, though they're getting quite rare.
Then again, maybe a decent 486DX/66 and sh*tload of old DOS games would be as cool - if not cooler buy...

Legend of the Mystical Ninja is awesome!!!!!!

I love that damn game!

It's a shame none of the other Ganbare Goemon games were ported to English..... I have all of them, in ROM form, but hell if I can read Japanese.

I still have the NES. Works perfectly. not working? just a quick blow in the cassette and you're on your way again. But what I really want, is an AMIGA. that's the shit I tell you. The one in the corner isn't working, but atleast I can play the ROMs legally, cause I own the games too. :D

You can blow more than a balloon-cheeked prostitute, but it's still damn tricky to get game to load. :o

Mystical Ninja 64, and it's sequel, on the N64 was pretty damn good too. Horrible camera aside.

I'm gonna have to agree on that one.  I still play that on my NES I have hooked up downstairs.

I wish they'd have made a port of it to the SNES.  I heard there was a never released sequel.

Depends on what you mean by 'sequel'.
There were many, many games in the Kunio series.
This, for example.

Go here for more info.

[Picture of Earthworm Jim goes here.]

Ah-ha, but Earthworm Jim was out for the Genesis, too!

Yes, but since when was SEGA Genesis a NES?

Rui 'Trovatore' Pires

Er, he meant that EJ was not enough to choose a console by, the same game existed in both.

Kneel. Now.

HillBilly

No, it wouldn't be much of a reason, if I compared the SNES with the SEGA. But I didn't. I compared the SNES with the NES, which I assume don't have any EJ game?
