I submit to you that this is the coolest thing ever. Ever. Not even evolution is this cool.

This is my house (somewhere in here!):

Go NUTS with this thing people. I'm finding Mt. Fuji at the moment.

Woah. Awesome!

Dude, this crap rocks!

Squinky

Yeah, I found this awhile ago, I've got a kick out of it by looking at places i used to live and getting all nostalgic like....

heres me:

You mean the've got maps to australia. When I last looked at this there was pretty much no detail in Aus but plenty in America... Oh and I used up like 15mb of bandwith in a few minutes cos I was at uni... Kinda took up a fair chunk of my quota too. :P

Kinoko

Hehe, I'm a little worried about how much I might be using @_@

I managed to find the hotel I'll be staying at in Tokyo: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=shizuoka&ll=35.689988,139.695389&spn=0.007499,0.010664=k&hl=en

Keio Plaza. It's that tall, thin, "vertical" one.. uh. Looks like two tall, narrow rectangles next to each other.

Here's my house... http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=55.988581,-3.396642&spn=0.007703,0.009259=k&hl=en

but its wierd, the very-high details bits in Scotland seem to be nearly entirely randomly placed, for example my house is visible, but central edinburgh isn't!

SSH, they're keeping an eye on radicals.

My house, just to the left of the marker.

Some of the city downtown shots are composited from different positions - it's funny to see two groups of buildings angled sharply towards each other.

It doesn't work for my country. I hate you Kinoko! >:(

My, erm, home town.  I actually live about 20 miles outside of "town", in fact, it's outside the city limits, but you might be able to see my house in that picture...

Actually:

I'm somewhere between 'I' and 'H' I think.  You can't zoom in close enought to even see the difference between them though, so that doesn't help much.

But boy, what crap resolution they have for the Netherlands. I'm in the middle of that gunk somewhere. And yes; this is the highest rez. >:(

Oddly enough keyhole can actually find my street and show a little blob where my house is! Yayness!

auhsor

Heh google bought out Keyhole. Theres a new version coming out soon I think. Oh and microsoft is also going to compete with Google Earth with their own version called Virtual Earth.

Oh and I found my town. Pity its all blurry: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=-34.498787,150.790529&spn=0.051928,0.074329=k&hl=en

EldKatt

Awesome. Awesome to the max. I live right in the middle of here. The low resolution makes it all pretty pointless, though, in that you can probably find more specialised services for smaller areas.

This is me. My house is the second house on the left of the street that is centered on the image.

Yes, you can come stalk me now.

Interesting notes: The two buildings behind me are a retirement home and a medical center, respectively.. And across the street from them is my high school. I live much too close to it ;)

Oh, and here's Evil1359's house, just in case you want to kill us both:
