Sex--is it bad or great?

Sex is great!

Who do you have it with?

Your wife...

Why your wife? Why not just anybody?

Well, just sit back and think about it: You have this child who doesn't even know who his father is and is very angry and rebellious towards his mother--even going so far as to contemplate killing her! One day, he does...and is found out by the authorities and serves time for it.

He gets out of prison--and looks around and observes how a lot of people around him act. What does he do? He goes around and copies them--having sex with whomever he pleases. The result? More children are born who, one way or the other, turn out just about like their father--THEY go around doing what their father did. And soon, most of the world is filled with angry kids--PURPOSEFULLY making other folks pregnant in order to make life miserable ON PURPOSE mind you!

My dad works for a humanitarian society that takes care of women who PURPOSEFULLY inflict men with AIDS because they are so angry with the man who gave it to them, that they desire to exact revenge against any males that they seduce! Thank God that most women, who have their children at this humanitarian facility, realize the value of life and decide that they will QUIT seeking revenge against the men and take care of their children as BEST as they can!

...So, just thought I would add that to all this.

...Next question is, "How do we stop children from being so bitter?" The answer is, give them love. Give them a home where they have a father and a mother. Give them a home that can provide them with love from both of their parents. And finally...give them a home that can provide not only with their physical needs but also spiritual fulfillment.

Do you see that if we start giving children this kind of a home, that we can actually reduce all kinds of crime? Do you see that with the aforementioned love in the home, children will learn to love and get along with each other instead of fighting and quarreling with one another daily?

As for Alynn...well, he did an interesting job with hiding what he was really trying to say. But it failed near the end...

Look Alynn...this bit about only having sex with your wife, isn't something only the Christians practice--around the world, people are practicing it because they know that it works! Most people aren't even Christian and yet, they adhere to this principle.

So, when all is said and done, everything boils down to this: will YOU follow that advice? Are YOU patient enough to wait until you're married before having sex? (And remember...you will reap the consequences of the choice you make...)

So by this logic, children in a one parent house hold don't get enough love or may be bitter against all repair until they have another parent in the situation?

But the parent has to be a different sex than the original parent because you say Mother and Father, what about transgendered parents? Gets a little tricky there!

On top of that hundreds and thousands and millions of people have sex without getting married, some people never get married by choice! And funnily enough Hundreds of thousands of millions of people are doing just fine emotionally, physically and spiritually. So if the consequences that they will reap is, on average, some really good sex with consenting adults who can make decisions for themselves, then rock on with the reaping!*

Funny thing about human beings, they don't give themselves enough credit as a race.

The world is a dangerous and ugly place my son... blah blah blah bullshit!

All I know, is that we do own our own fate! I don't believe in luck, I do believe in a masterplan but this does not allow me to blame anybody for my own actiions.

Actually I find a lot of "illegal" and "sinfull" things rather intriguing and interesting. No situation is alike but I wouldn't go baming my parents cause my life might suck (which doesn't but anyway)...

Of course on the other hand I wouldn't do anything bad to hurt my children (and jfritzyb I have two of these, in case that you don't know...)

Now, Alynn, I'm sure you will find a way to get what you and your wife want. And I'm pretty sure that there are better ways than stoping random women on the street. As I'm sure that there are other ways to enjoy your life (nothing to do with better or less sinful or anything). As I know for a fact that Brittish are pretty liberal so you won't encounter any problem.

Maybe it is better for a child to not have a father that could be a bad person, either by influence with drugs, abuse, or just all around *sshole. Also, if people would just use the f*cking condoms and birth control, we could have fun without such a risk.

I didn't think this thread could get any preachier but that new guy, whoever he/she is, has done the impossible.

Condoms make sex less fun, and we all know it.

But yeah, kids, use them!!

Your story is rather ridiculous, I could point holes in it til Tuesday (wait, it is Tuesday...). But I won't. I think anyone who reads it will see how ridiculous it is for themselves.

I'll say a couple of things anyway; condoms are not 100% infallible, neither is any birth control save for getting your uterus removed. Even abstinance isn't 100% because people get raped sometimes. The point is, there will never be a world where everyone's happy families with a perfectly heterosexual mother and father.

Neither will there ever be a world where people only have sex within their marriage. The main reason being that sex is one of greatest things on this earth, and people are not gonna stop doing it. Ever. Not for babies either, but for fun. It's fun, fun fun. Fun!

However, marriage is not the holy bond is was for religious types a hundred years ago (and some people today). More and more people today don't place that great emphasis on marriage. We're recognising more and more that a relationship with a person is more important that a piece of paper and a piece of jewellery. For MANY people in this world, marriage is just that; a legality. For some people it's more, but it's completely up to the individuals in question the importance they place on marriage. Many couples never get married but still live a beautiful and happy life together.

I think it's ridiculous to place any kind of value judgement on someone that revolves around whether they're married or not (or heterosexual or not).

Let's shift this discussion a little further, since Alynn is probably covered...

I find that marriage, as well as baptism and the rest of holy stuff (communion and so on) that have to do with the community and not with jewellery and a piece of paper. IT's not this that's important but the declaration that "this boy has a name", or that "This woman is my wife, and this places here besides me for as long as we both can (!!!!)"

I think that I'm going to listen to a little Madonna now (Papa don't preach...)

Actually, you missed an important consequence: an increased risk of breakups. They hurt like hell!

I find that one of the biggest problems with modern Western society is that it tends to place sexual pleasure as the highest goal one must strive for. (Don't believe me? Go pick something random off your local magazine rack.) In my opinion, sex is overrated. Sure, it's fun, but it pales in comparison to many other higher pursuits. To give an example that some of you may be able to relate to, I find that releasing an adventure game I made all by myself and having hundreds of people all over the world play it and tell me they liked it to be infinitely more fulfilling than being physically pleasured.

Also, I find that the having kids part of sex is something that I, personally, look forward to more than the fun part. I'm always amused at how many people think of babies as a sexually-transmitted disease, when in fact, they're a lot more useful than that. After all, once they reach a certain age, you'll be able to make them do all your household chores. What's so terrible about that?

I find sex much much fun but it doesn't last very long. At least in my case it lasts around 2 minutes (with the pre-stuff nad the undressing). Am I doing something wrong?

btw, do you have kids?

All true, but that doesn't take away from my original point. It's still one of those things that people will never stop doing all the time for fun. I kind of went through a 'meh' period of a couple of years in regards to sex, but it's been rediscovered ten fold. Everyone's different but you have to accept that sex IS highly valued by people, in general, and no amount of education or segregation or over-exposure will ever get rid of the fact. I just think we all need to acknowledge man's and woman's desire for sex as a constant.

I always liked the way Homer put it; "Son, a woman is like a beer. They smell good, they look good, you'd step over your own mother just to get one! But you can't just stop at one, you wanna drink another woman!".

Nik: I think maybe you're doing things a little too right if it's happening that fast ^_-

And I agree with CoveredinSquinkySludge [somehow fitting to this topic!] sex is cool [OUT OF WEDLOCK SEX TOO! LOOK OUT GOD!] but running around on the beach and going swimming and getting all tired and taking a noon nap with my girlfriend is better. Or watching a really good movie with her... Or playing with stuffed animals with her... It's more memorable...
