The new Looney Toons

I don't know if you guys have heard about this or not because it's fairly new, but brace yourself for some crazy shit.

The Warner Brothers decided to redesign the Looney Toons to fit in with today's hip anime generation.

In short:

Buzz: Team leader with laser and martial arts expertise
Duck: Weapons expert with built-in sonar
Roadster: Super speed
Spaz: Team muscle with jaws of steel
Lexi: Disguise expert with super hearing
Slick: Vehicles and surveillance; regeneration abilities

This is utterly ridiculous, much emphasized by this parody flash movie (not worksafe).

To be honest, i don't like the new look at all.  Some things in life don't need changing and it definitely should not be the Looney Toons.

It's not really that bad what they're doing. Space Jam is worse along with whatever that new cartoon was with Brendan Frasier...

I think it's pretty brave - and it's a spin-off, isn't it? Not a replacement.

I think it'll succeed, though. It's a well-aimed thing, children will love it. As to whether it's good or not... well. We'll have to wait (possibly) and see.

Yes, I've seen this before. Just let them destroy looney toons, the MAN has commericialized everything nowdays so I've just stopped caring.

The thing is, though I doubt it will be, what if the cartoon ended up being okay? I remember thinking that THESE ideas were crazy at first too, but they all ended up being alright:

-Tiny Toon Adventures
-Batman Beyond
-Muppet Babies (okay, so I was a little kid, k?)

Still, I think that  the "revamping" of this characters is just awful. But, as already stated, no way can it be worse than "Space Jam" or "Back in Action" or whatever it was called (I once had a roommate who used to think that Space Jam was great...  :'( ).
