What I meant was that if there really is anything worth hating, it's hatred.  You know, just like there is nothing to fear but fear itself.

Of course you can beat the odds. If you're a cancer patient, then you've got two options: Beat the odds, or die. You don't really have a choice but to be optimistic. Lets say though, a random person offers you $100 on the street, except he says, if he rolls a pair of dice and they land on snake eyes, you get $1000. A huge portion of society is made up of believers, who would do just that stupid thing and take the chance when they could be $100 richer no matter what.

When I'm 65 years old, I will have 1.4 million dollars. I won't win the lottery, I won't need to invent anything, and I'm going to remain an ordinary person. I invested $3k in a Roth IRA last year, into an indexed mutual fund. Ever since the stock crash, the government has regulated stock trade so that such a thing won't happen again. From the stock crash on, there has never been a five year period without at least a 10% gain in the top 200 stocks. Therefore, when I am 65 years old, the money will have accumulated into a stockpile for me to add to my retirement fund which I will use to travel the world and reflect as my life comes to a close. Most people invest in a normal mutual fund, with three or four middlemen taking cuts and a team of brokers picking stocks, hoping to hit it big. Sometimes high risk, which notoriously loses TONS of money more often than not. I could have invested in the broker team, believing they will pick just the right stocks and I will turn that $3k into $100k over the course of mere months.. or I could be a millionaire in the long term. I've asked around, most people would go for the quick fix if I didn't elaborately explain why it would be futile, only saying something like "1 in 3 chance" of 6 month payoff, instead of the 45 years.

That is partially what I meant, but I also meant it to include people who are racist but disguise it behind the lame-ass excuse of repression.  Like they have a right to be racist.

There's no excuse for it.  It's ignorance (something else I hate).

The only thing in this world that fears me is the fact that maybe one day I'll run out of things to think about. But then I reasurred myself that if that did happen I'd be thinking about what to think about after thinking about nothing. This reasured me to some extent, but then the question popped up again "What about after that?" This got me worrying again, untill I realised that the ability to be able to ask myself all these questions meant that if I did forget waht to think about, thinking about what to think about next would carry on in a continuos loop forever and ever and ever...either that or my head would explode. To accomplishing this I felt satasified and went to bed, to try to analyzr and understand exactly what I'd been thinking about.
