Please, please, PLEASE don't make this based on Seinfeld.

yey, i am not alone :p

Layabout

The LGM drawing needs to be a bit fuller figured if you understand what i'm saying.
I am Jean-Pierre.

The amount of work such a project would require makes my breath heavy

Really? "Real" TV series (well, sitcoms at least) usually use the same characters in the same sets everytime. Much "cheaper" than a full movie/game, no? I think of it as a monthly one-person Reality-On-The-Norm-ish thingy.
I look just like Bobbin Threadbare.

Pumaman

Subsequent episodes would be relatively easy to produce, but the amount of animation required to get everything ready for the first episode would be phenominal.

Evil

About half way through November I am completly willing to take control of an animation team. We could start now but we would need a plot and such so I dont think there is a need.

Layabout: Yes I understand. I just did this quick. I talked to Phil and he said it was amazing how much it looked like him. He was thinking of the title "Hangin With Mr. Reed". I quite like it. ;)

Such optimism must be an age-issue...but I really hope you pull it off, of course.

How humble of him. If you can engage him to write the manuscript for that show, which I doubt, there might be a reason to give the show his name. On the other hand, then the show might also be entertaining.

Evil

I understand Andail. I just thought I might jump for it, since nobody else seemed intersted. Heh, better then some 6 year old n00b, eh? :)

As for the name I was thinking like "Taking Over Andail's House" or something along those lines. ;)

Scummbuddy

"Bringing up n00bie"- a comedy coming this spring to Pentiums everywhere

-and i was kidding about the seinfeld thing earlier
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Hahah, Scummy, that's great. :)

I think no matter what theme/title/whatever is chosen, it should center around AGS community members.  This seems to be the common concensus anyway, so I guess I'm just expressing my support.

One possible problem with a sitcom format is that sitcoms pretty much always have to follow the same template.  If the show is indeed a sitcom type of thing, I think it should follow a very loose format, sort of like the existing AGS Shows.  One of my favorite parts about the AGS Shows is that they act like they're the same format each time ("Now it's time for poety corner with Ghormak!") but in reality they're totally random and really have nothing to do with one another.  Sort of like the paragraphs in this post.

I think it should be like Space Ghost. Everyone loves Space Ghost. Everything is totally random, he could end up married and you'd never expect it. Plus, you could have the cartoons interview real people on the fake cartoon live-video screen.

I'm going to go break glass behind the dumpster with my mantis friend now.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Sooooo....basically like the existing AGS Shows then ;)

You know, I've taken such a lengthy absence that I've only seen one and I barely remember it.

My apologies..  ;D

I say we start a new thread asking for people willing to do voices. I dont want to see a show all done in captions, so there better be just sound. We cant start writing if the characters cant send in voicing.

If it's made using AGS members like suggested, I think that pretty much sets who is going to do the voices.

Wow, sorry I forgot about this thread.

This idea sprang up in my head because I was originally planning on doing a series spin-off of my game, By the Sword, when it was finally released. It would've started off on a new starship with a new crew, and *gasp* recurring characters from the game!

Awhile back, I had a list of three season's worth of episodes, with several running storylines and twists and turns. Sadly, I realized I could never do a TV series and deleted the file forever. Little did I know that AGS could be used for it, even though this was years ago.

I guess an AGSers series would be pretty cool. I never thought of that. I swore off pure comedies a long time ago, so I wouldn't be able to do the scripts for these episodes. If people are still interested, I'll be willing to recruit some help with a By the Sword spin-off series, some help with a new plot line, pilot episode, premise, settings, characters, etc.
Status: Trying to come up with some ideas...

Snake

Terran, I think that's a cool idea.

I plan on making a cartoon series soon...not sure when since nothing I do is ever finished :P But I think of doing it all the time.

I thought of an idea, if anyone's interested.......

Anyone? No?

Fine, I'll tell you anyway.

What if #ags were a coffee shop, or a club, or something? You'd get different members doing different jobs eg CJ as the manager, or m0ds as a waitress ( :P) etc etc. Most of the members wouldn't be employed there, they would just visit. You see?

I'd be very interested in helping any way I can.

Also, if you haven't noticed, yes, I have returned!

yes, i thought of that, something like Cheers :)
And the best part would be: NEXT TIME ON....
and that part should definetly have voice.
If you want, I too can help you if you'd like...well dont really know in which section, and i really don't see who's leading this project, tho this was terran's idea, and i see Evil making some initiative...
So, who's in charge?

are belong to you

Evil

I am willing to "take charge" of some animation and art stuff but this is Terran's project. He isnt around much anymore because of his own project, but he may be making plans. (?)
