Musician:
Barcik, remixor, Trapezoid

This is very interesting, as I have never in my life composed a piece of music.

You see how important it is that people nominate: otherwise imposters like Barcik will win categories that they don't deserve  ;)

Don't worry, Darth, I won't tell anyone that it was you that nominated Barcik as a musician.

Hmmm...

Barcik, some other guy nominated you for best in every category, but all I know is this address:

PO Box 1337
Edinburgh
EH13 3TE
UK

Maybe you should send them some cash, too

Barcik

For fuck's sake!

I just wasted half an hour just for it to tell me that "SSH is either unavailable or has you on his ignore list"!

As usual, I won't be here at the weekend to pester you... so GET THOSE NOMINATIONS IN!

At the moment there's a tie-break for the top-5 places in Gen-Gen, Helpful Artist, Beginner Help and there's still only 3 qualifying nominees in Helpful Musician, Helpful hinter and Tech forum contribution, so any nominations you make could make the difference between someone being in the vote or not!

m0ds.... get your nominations in as you promised three times already!!!!

Thanks to all who have put their nominations in already: I've asked CJ if we can use the fourm-based voting system, so hopefully I can announce nominees on Monday and then at some point the voting can start... (otherwise votes by PM/email)

Don't leave the nominations up to someone else: in most categories just one more nomination can make the difference between being in or out!

a) You have time to spot things like that, but don't have time to send me your votes yet, eh?
b) Well done: that was a deliberate mistake to draw attention to the voting, honest  :-\

Meowster

I think there's been a mistake. I don't see Tim Schafer on that list.

I demand you put Tim Schafer on that list. Wasn't there supposed to be a "Best Tim Schafer in the field of Tim Schafers"? I'm sure there was. You should make a category for Tim Schafer.

Pet Terry

Ooh, someone voted for me :P

And I sent in my votes.

Where's the All of the Above option?

Anyway, I'm sending mine in now. Guess I was just in time to know that there was something called FOREGOs going the hell on...

Damned late internet bill.

--EDIT--
Oh, and don't vote for me. I don't want to ruin my life-long losing streak now.

I voted!

About icon based dialogue didn't somebody already do that, i think it was scavenger!

Dragon Slayers demo finally finishedGet it here!

SSH

Yes, you're right that Scavenger put a lot of hard work into creating a script to help with icon-based dialogs. I have recentlky been implementing my own system and I've done some things slightly differently (using inventory items for the topics makes life a bit easier) but I realise that the way he did lots of things is about the ONLY way to do them and it's a lot of work. Native support would be great!

If we can just get Chris to promise to implement the winner of that category...

for those of you who are interested latest voting update:

42 people have voted. I didn't even have to spam remind all of them! 4 categories have a pretty clear leader, but most of the others could be turned around quite easily.

Just one week left to vote, and still InCreator, TK, Isegrim, juncmodule, DGMacphee, Proskrito and Iqu have yet to vote, despite them placing nominations.

On the other hand such illustrious forum members as m0ds :o , Pumaman :o :o and Vel ;) have already voted and the great Puma has agreed to let the stakes be raised:

PRIZES:

Each FOREGO winner will get a CUSTOM FORUM TITLE!

These 15-character additions to your profile are mush sought after on AGS Forums becuase they don't just come from a post count like they do on most other forums. Previously, only mittens attendees have had the luxury of custom titles!

Now, some may prefer to keep mittens titles if they win, but we'll probably negociate around the titles anyway. Here's my suggestions:

1. CJ can do what he likes with his title anyway...
2. Top moderator
3. Mentor of n00bs
4. n/a
5. Expert scripter
6. Art guru
7. Music muse
8. Best debater
9. Encourager
10. Helpful Hinter
11. Generally Great

Comments/suggestions welcome

Barcik

Alright! This is a great idea! Maybe some of the other competitions should have such prizes as well.

Timosity

personally I don't really like custom titles (although CJ's & mitteneers are fine) but it also doesn't bother me if someone has a title.

I'm just not really one for labels

but if you like

2. Cop
3. RTFM
5. Nerd
6. Art Cricket
7. DJ
8. Mass debater
9. Liar
10. Game Spoiler
11. Wanker

Meowster

Hey... so like if I win, I'd get a custom title of 'Psychonaut'.

Heyyyy! Awesome! Cool!

Next year I'm going to be reallllly helpful.
