I finally made a tutorial. Tell me what you think. Was I clear? Anything I could add?

Enjoy!  ;)

VERY Nice and clear. I'm trying to draw a town, albeit a different concept at the moment, and parts of this should be useful. I especially like the tiles, straw, door, and bushes. Not as keen on the wooden frames of the building, as they don't seem as 'woody' to me.

This has to be one of the clearest, most straightforward tutorials I have ever seen.  This tutorial is incredibly informative!  Thank you so much for this!

The tutorial is nice, but it's a bit annoying scrolling here and there in the browser window under 800x600.

I had a look at the other tutes linked from your own tutorial, and yours is far easier to understand and follow. The other consists of:

1. Draw an outline
2. Color
3. Blend
4. Make it look really awesome

Whereas you actually go through things nicely :)

Very nice tutorial, Corby. Thanks!

One complaint: could you show us what colors you used to make the door, please?  It's a great color selection in my opinion. ;D

Edit: I love this tutorial, bud! Great job!

Corby

Thanks for all the comments guys!  ;D I'll revise the tutorial a bit and add the colors for both doors. (Those doors are actually more of applying color with a normal brush rather than dissolve, but the dissolve method works too.) I'll put the colors up nonetheless.
Thanks!

Excellent! Thanks, Corby.

Tutorial is now friendly down to 800x600 resolution! Should be easier to use.  8)
