What actually goes on at Mittens?  Have there been many others in the past?  And how many people attend?

And my name is Logan by the way, i'm new (though a long time lurker.)

AGA

There have been 2 before. It's a gathering of AGSers, and as for what we do... whatever there is to do in the area, along with things like quizes, the 'Mittolympics' (a kind of un-athletic version of the Olympics) and other sorts of interesting things. This site and this thread have more details...

Pumaman

w00t, if it isn't mittens time again!

AGA, that Air India flight looks suspiciously cheap... are you sure they're not going to herd us like cattle onto an airplane made out of cardboard and sticky tape?

Thanks eric for being the host this year; and m0ds, you are coming, mittens wouldn't be mittens without its founder :P

I love the whole waiver thing by the way - gives it a very authentic American feel  :D

QuoteI'll try to persuade 2ma2, Chrille and Vargtass as well, although they have more or less gone underground since last mittens.

Crap, doing that naked dance seemed much funnier at the time ._.

AGA

Well apparently there was a bombing on an Air India flight at some time in the past, but that doesn't mean it'll happen to us... Anyway, I don't mind dying in a hijacking as long as I can take all you with me!

DragonRose

Any Ontario types interested in going?  By air, the cheapest flight I've found is $278, Round-trip Economy Class from Air Canada.

By land, Greyhound costs $229.50 round trip.  But if two people go together, it only costs $259.50 for both of them.

(Fingers crossed that I'll be allowed to go!)

I'm a cheap Ontario type that would be interesting in low, low bus fees to Mittens.

Oh damn, I can't afford to fly all the way up there. My imaginary girlfriend would like to attend, though. I guess she's flying with Imaginary Airlines. I heard those tickets are quite cheap.

Once again, I wouldn't recommend it. If you decide to do it, be prepared to smell really bad after 5 or 6 hours. Also, bring food.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

I'm doing my best to be independently wealthy by July, so keep your fingers crossed!
If not, then I don't know if I could take the time off. Also, I'm poor.

I can't wait to...to...converse with all your girlfriends.

Until July, we should do our best to give a mature and sensible image of ourselves, to increase the chances of attracting females.

Or else, we could build a large wooden cage to keep them in.

MrColossal

ok so four more PMs

as for the Waiver, I'm not posting it now because I want to ask my father about something first.

so that makes 6 PMs in total which means on my list of people coming I only have about 8 people. This doesn't seem right.

so please PM me even if you told me on MSN or something, I want to have digital evidence that you said you're coming, not just mental

I plan on going to school this summer, but if the dates somehow lines up - I 'll be there. I'm a definite maybe.

Eric, I'll PM you when I'm absolutely sure that I'm going. At the moment I'm pretty sure that I can go so I may PM you soon.

By the way, I know how much the flight will cost (about) but does anyone have any idea how much money will be needed on the camp (bus trips, food etc.)?

Okay, how many Brits are coming? If possible, we could all try to book the same flight. I've looked into it, and they're around £500, give or take £50.

Thats a big no-no for me this year :'(

I have about £550 in total as I just bought my Reading ticket :P

AGA

READ THE WHOLE THREAD! We found a flight that's quite a lot cheaper - around £390.

Hehehe.  I'm 13 so I can't go and if it's 18 and up I'm not sure I want to go...

There should me a Mittens for AGSers 17 and under!

It could be called the MittenMinors!
Don't mind me...

It's funny because I am going to the Northeast this summer, and we are going to be driving all around upstate NY (Hoards or relatives and aquaintences)
