It certainly is incomplete.

You should probably post this when you have spent more time on it.

Give the walls some color and/or texture, and the perspective on the desk needs some work.

Plus, the chair is way to small, it looks like a kiddie chair.

Give the BG some more time and attention and then show us how it turns out.

Not trying to be mean. But with some more time and patience, you can turn this into a great background.

It might help if the computer moniter was taller.
Anyway, keep working on it. I suck at backgrounds and perspective quite horrendously myself so don't listen to all I say.

I think the biggest mistake is the proportions. The chair is ok actually, but the desk is huge. Look at the legs for example, they are to thick and tall. Also, it looks like the table has only 3 legs. The furthest one should be barely seen, but visible. Other than that, the whole background needs a bit more detail.

The angle is ok, but not the best example of an angle. It's not natural, because objects fade away on distance; but I don't mind, because it depends on your style.

If you want painting programs, try Pixia. It is free and very good and quite easy actually. You just need a few hours/days experementing with programs like that to learn how to use them.

EDIT I noticed what was funny about the door. You make some objects fade away on distance, while some others do not. I mean, everything but the door doesn't get affected by distance, so comparing the door to the table, computer, chair etc. makes the door look much smaller than it is. Oh well, ignore this, even I can't understand what I'm saying  ???

I have started to redo the picture in a "warped" perspective and I think it looks alot better i'll post a pic of it later.

EDIT: Thanks for u Critisism, I thought the chair was about the right size and the table slightly off,  the computer screen was too small, I tried using Pixia but i couldn't get to grips with it

Moox

thats a quick resize of those objects, i notice now tho, the doors a little small

I made a quick perspective tutorial using 1 vanishing point.
It's located HERE!

Sorry about It's crapiness.

Hey there! If you are still looking for a good and very easy to use painting program, I know one, wich I'm using myself!

GraphicsGale - http://www.tempest-j.com/gale/e/

It supports, layers, frames, you can zoom very much in, easy to use drawing tools, almost same as MSPaint, but much better.

It's a shareware program. In the 30days trial you can use everything, and after that, you can't load/save Gif Files, or ICO files. But furthermore it's just a very very good free program! Best and easiest program I know! Hope this helps you!

HingedShinobi

thanks for all ur help, heres another attempt at the same room (not finished just thought i'd get an opinion first) but with a different style

Damien

I think that the door would fit better in your new style if they were wider at the top.

I still think the doors a little small, its as big as the chair and the chairs only 3 feet away
