I didn't really want to post this, I was actually revisiting my posting procedures for not bothering nobody with my thoughts... but I really like to read warm words from the AGSers. I this that the occassion deserves it.

There has been a terrorist jouney in Madrid, the capital of Spain. I can't really say how many bombs have exploded, but people talk of 5, 6... What I can really see is that three bombs have blew up three vagons of a local train, vagon full of people going to work, near hospitals, even scholars going to the high School. The brackdown of victims is now 131 (new figures, 146), and it can still grow... We're talking of the major terrorist strike in the European Community.

And I agree somewhat with the non-centralism complains of the Basques! I hope that even the people who agrees with terrorist fight must feel sick today.

I hope this is the first step to implement some kind of extraordinary death penalty... Maybe you are pure, and join strenght to post something like "You can learn to understand and think that death penalty does not help"... I would really like to be so pure as you, but I can't, I am weak...

Explosions hit three Madrid commuter trains leaving 131 dead and 400 wounded (and these are just the initial numbers). Fuck all the inevitable discussions that will follow about the US, the war in Iraq, Bush, Israel, Saddam and Bin-Laden. Put it aside and look at the numbers. 131 innocent people who were just going along with their daily schedule were murdered. If we cannot offer people the most basic protection, what good are we?

173 deaths... I can't really understand this...

Narangas just sent me an news story on it -- The story has been the same for the last few hours but they keep editing it to change the death toll.

Pure or weak, it doesn't matter -- at the moment, just play it safe, man.

Barcik: It's inevitable that something like this will add fuel to the "War on Terror" spin, so it's no use saying to fuck all discussion on the subject -- It's still an important subject.

The unnatural deaths of 150 is a tragedy, I don't care how it happened.

And humans killing other humans is only more so, no matter what justification is placed on it.

Thanks DG... I really appreciate it. And please Boris and Daniel ( :'() I don't want this to be a post of discussion, just a show of pain, please, keep this discussion (if necessary) in another thread, parallel, if needed, but not in this.

I will post, with vehemence, as usual, but please, not here.

I would just like to say, that I'm deeply sorry for those that did not survive, or got wounded, and for the families. I hope that they will find the strength to forgive, and to stop the anger here.

DGMacphee

Sorry, I posted before I knew about the other thread.

No problem, Daniel, in fact, I posted political matters in this thread, talking about death penalty. Please Minimi, let's discuss this in Boris' thread.

I'm no good at warm words, but... I suppose I'd pretty much try to say the same thing Las said if he hadn't already. Everything else I might say belongs in the other thread, I guess.

The national symbol against terrorist is to paint your hands in white. It started 5 or 6 years ago, when ETA kidnapped a guy and demmanded to join all the prisoners to the Basque country before two days.

They finally killed him , his name was Manuel Blanco ("White"), but it created a special feeling that made ETA reduce its activity during this time (, fortunately, untill today)

I've prepaired an avatar with white hands... I wish that TOMORROW SATURDAY, a lot of people changes its avatar to this, and changes his signature.

It may probably mean nothing, but this day has been named by the European Union as the day of the victims of the terrorism... So I think that this should be cool. If this has echo in the community I would really like to be mentioned in the AGS magazines and a mention in the banner in the top of the forums...

Dear Farlander.
I don't think you're weak, but just angry.
Now I'm not gonna quote Yoda but all I want to say is;

Use your anger in a positive way.

I add it to my signature as a means of saying, "Let the violence cease."

And for Farlander.

EDIT: I've just noticed how awkward the forums are getting with four white hands already -- I might remove mine, but am still against any act of violence.

It may not be as interesting or contentious to post condolences as to discuss the politics of this attack, but I for one condemn this attack, whoever perpetrated it.

My heart goes out to all the victims and their families.

I hope that the shock of this makes those who support terrorism anywhere think again.

Farlander,

My heart goes out to you and your countrymen.  I deeply deplore this horrible act and feel that there is no punishment harsh enough for the people and groups responsible for this.

...
Watch, I just killed this topic...

Nacho

We really appreciate the encouragements, but I haven't really be directly affected by this, I'm 500 Kms. away from Madrid, but I suppose that when you say "Farlander" you just use me as the most visible part of a Country/community.

But, as you can see, we are all affected by this in some way. Aussie said that he had friends that COULD have used that train... Lorena told me that a friend of her has a cousin who use that very train, but she was sleep this morning, thanks Lord... I have a friend at the Uni who regularily used this trains.

Actually, my town is target of terrorist strikes during the summer season, I can't feel sure.

The feeling now is changing from death penalty to a more relaxed one, like perpetual penalty... I think that the good people doesn't want to join the club of the killers... As much time happens, I start to feel like that.

But I share that people who make conscient acts aimed to kill 200 people are not really people.

As horrible as I think the attacks were, I'm not in favour of the death penaly against the ones responsible. It's good to hear people are thinking about it more rationally already Farlander.

Pumaman

I just got in from work and heard about this on the news. It's such a sad unnecessary waste of human life; I don't know what we can do, other than offer condolences to the families of the victims.
