Yeah, I second the Chuckie thing. But the new verson looks good. Maybe raise the ears a bit? Over all it looks better.

The last version you did is FANTASTIC! I actually like him not having pupils. It makes him look sorta 'undead'.

Though I still think he needs bigger hair... (I think it was #5 with big hair?)

I think the most recent one is definitely the best so far.  My only suggestions are to perhaps reduce the size of the eyes (and possibly the head) a bit, and make the next slightly wider.  What you have is great though.  I've got to say, I'm really glad you didn't go with the goofy anime-hair.

with this new shaded version, I can't find fault.

I think the googly-eyes and flimsy neck are all very stylistic and almost 'cute', which is in complete juxtaposition to the knife he holds (I think this is a good thing, in case you were confused). I agree that anime hair on this dude might look a little...unusual...
