If you make the shadows not erase the black outlines it'd be better.
Maybe a tv could be placed in front of the sofa. A livingroom without a tv feels a bit naked.

This light spot on the floor. It's unbelieveable. Make it larger than ceiling window! Apart from that - pretty good. Just add some more stuff around and try to shade walls and floor a bit more, make it darker at the corners.

UPDATE: redid  light patch on the floor, changed the colour of the sofa (thanks dan2552)

It always makes me happy to look at someone's original room and then see how much they've progressed after advice and edits - Your room now officialy rocks -
However..... (sorry - there had to be something! )
The painting/poster looks like a window and when i first saw it i was confused as to whether it was day or night - please curl a corner over or something - see opo's edit.
Also, i don't understand what that dark grren line going from the door to the sofa is.
One last thing! The shading by the cabinet on the wall is not right at all - perhaps it needs to be on the floor.

All that said - I DO really like this b/g - any characters or plot? I'd love to see 'em

thanks, I dont know which dark green line, the one under the door?
I tried to curl a corner over but failed, i'll try again later. EDIT: I tried again, I just cant seem to get it right, it just looks like a greyishwhite triangle randomly placed on the picture. EDIT 2: I just thought of a way to make it look like a picture without curling a corner over, I'll post an image when done.
There is a kind of plot outline on the previous page (last post on that page) but I'm still working on it, I'll post it here for some critism soon.

UPDATE: Fixed up some of the shading (especially the filing cabinet) and Put the hook thingy above the painting on the wall.
