I thought there are people working on making sure there aren't any hate sites?
If so , looks like they missed one. ( then again it'd probably be hard to get rid of all hate sites completely , given how easy and quick it is to set up sites and how big the internet is. )
As for the "creator" pic , this guy thinks he's a hit with the ladies?

one would have to define what a hate site is, if I have a site saying god hates people who think god hates fags, is that a hate site?

I don't know , I just vaguely remember reading something somewhere that claimed that some group makes sure to get hate sites shut down as quickly as possible once they find out about them or something like that. I'm sorry , it's been a long time so....*shrugs* .

Well , of course , I meant a hate site as in "white supremacist" / "racist" hate site. There's other kinds of hate sites of course that have to do with silly things like wether or not Jar Jar Binks is a cool character but they're usually called anti-sites instead of hate sites and usually when people say hate site they're talking about a racist site , then again there could be a new usage for the phrase that I was previously unaware of , but I'd be surprised if that was the case.

I thought it might be a joke site because of the supposed creator pic and the comment about "always a hit with the ladies" but what else I saw of it makes one think that it could be a real hate site.

Okay - in an effort to JUSTIFY this post, I'm going to say I believe that site is a hoax.

A lot of the articles are fairly strange in their presentation, and conflict with a lot of other things they wrote. I can't remember specifici examples, but yeah, they said something about how all races AREN'T equal, and then I read something about hating people who believed it. Meaning they'd hate themselves...

EDIT: And that isn't really hitler, so I can't been TOO outlandish...

All in all, it's certainly better to let racist sites stay up, not just for the principal of the thing, but for the fact they show racists, especially the kinds like many white supremicist which rely on gowns and silly trimmings, for what they are.

In the old days, say, the KKK, could be mysterious and secretive, a dark menace. When they got they're hands on HTML it allowed anyone to see that they were just silly, insecure and stupid people.

It's like Mein Kampf. The best argument against it is itself.

Serious point about Hitler jokes: I think there's nothing at all wrong with them. I'm guessing what those of you who disagree think is that it's disrespectful of the Nazi regime's victims. IMO it isn't at all (Unless it is, of course. Depends on the exact joke and its exact context.) - I don't see how making fun of him would be. Certainly you can't mean that Hitler ought to be respected.

The thing about the man is that he was a complete clown. Nobody really has to do anything much to make him funny. The whole fear and awe comes from the fact that for a number of reasons, a lot of them luck, he had the power to enforce his ridiculous ideas. The whole thing would be quite comedic if it hadn't resulted in millions of unpleasant deaths.

The actor Serdar Somuncu toured Europe for a few years reading from Mein Kampf. I never had an opportunity to see him (or if I did, I missed it), but I've heard recordings. It's quite fascinating, as well as amusing - if you can find anything, be sure to listen. There's a CD available of one such reading in Germany; unfortunately I can't find any evidence of any English language recordings existing, but I know he's read in English as well.

Oh , no , of course not.
I have never , ( even though once when I was a stupid kid I made the mistake of imitating a certain Bugs Bunny / Daffy cartoon ) , respected Hitler.
I just think it's annoying when a thread turns into nothing but posts of "funny" Hitler pics.
I'm all for making fun of Hitler ,
I just don't see what's so funny about doing it in a public forum instead of making a website or something...and I don't get what's funny about putting him mixed in with other stuff I like , such as Back To The Future.
Then again I've really only seen two or so such threads ....

Sometimes contrasting one thing against another = funny. In this case, one thing (BTTF) is pleasant whereas the other (Hitler) is not. I think that was funny- compared to say Hitler and the Titanic sinking (two tragic things).

Well, I live in Austria, some of you may know that Hitler was austrian, and that Austria was the southern part of the third reich, called "Ostmark".

over here Hitler and Nazi stuff is a very critical topic. In Austria there are strict laws against any form of nationalsocialism, which means that even svastica signs and Hitler pictures are forbidden.

But that's not the point of it. The problem is that many of our grandparents actually were Nazis or fought in the Wehrmacht. You can never know what your grandfather really did... was he one of those bastards who killed that many people, who did such evil things? You really can't know such things since a huge majority of the austrians voted in 1938 for an annexion with germany. Of course there was pressure... well, I'll stop here, this wasn't supposed to be a history lesson or something.

What I wanted to say, is that we have a party in our government, called the Freedom Party and this party has really problems dealing with our history. They play down nationalsocialism all the time, since they have strong roots in the nsdap themeselves, and many of the party founders had actually been Nazis.

I don't know if some of you already visited a former concentration camp (KZ)... well, I did and if you saw something like that - an industry of death, murder and slaugther, than it's really hard to see anything funny in person like Hitler.

I've been to Auchwitz-Birkenau and I cried when I was there.

But if you can't poke fun at the things you despise, what can you poke fun at? After all, it was a Jew who wrote "The Producers", and you don't get much more close-to-the-bone Hitler jokes than that.
