well there isn't much to criticise....
that's all i can say. you've Just taken a basic room and put a rather pointless gradient on the floor along with an automated texture on the wall.

i agree but i need some ideas about how to make it dark and dingy with no lighting .
if anyone wants to they can copy it and edit it.

you should have said that in your first post? I dunno, maybe im wrong but it just seems like youve made no effort to make it dingy yourself?

Evil

Well, theres no point in editing it, its to basic and gradients are hard. Try redoing the room with taller doors and work on your prespective. No color, do everything first in black and white lines.

In the first room, the wall that is right ahead is shorter then the other two o_O (In heigth)

In the second..uh..
Maybe the little picture could be larger?
Not much else to say..
Ho, and you do realise that the size of the room does matter?
The first is much smaller then the second..

Mephistophilis

If your thinking dingy and dungeon like then do you think you'd have a carpet?
Usually rooms are made with a purpose, what's in the room? what's going to happen in it? You've drawn two empty rooms and have made little attempt to make them dingy.

in this room will be a a hidden item which would be needed to be used later in the game.
i added a carpet because the room was set inside an old fortress.

1. Added some perspective
2. Changed the res to a nice normal one
3. Shortened the room

Edit: Oops, you should cut 10 pixels off length-wise ... (I forgot, heh)

HotSpot: Vanishing Point is one of the, well, uh, most basic aspects of drawing.. You can't very well draw a room without once.. (Unless you have REALLY good eyes)
You. Me. Denny's.

veryweirdguy

People still have to be taught it though, I mean, every good background artist has to start somewhere......

Mr Jake

Yes, and that post seemed completly OTT to me ._.
