Good to know your critical abilities this time around are at their sharpest, Traveller.

It's easy to criticize others when I still didn't release anything playable (more precisely, anything at all...)   ;)

Voting was tough, but I think I got to a conclusive vote.

Well done to all competitiors I enjoyed the games very much (some more than others, some equally), I hope to participate next time, but who knows.
When I was a little kid we had a sand box. It was a quicksand box. I was an only child... eventually.

My wife and I are hopping off this island of ours for our belated honeymoon-ish jaunt around mainland Japan.  Assuming voting ends on schedule, I won't be around for the announcement, but I wish luck to all the competitors.  I'll post my thoughts on each and every game when I get back.

I'm very excited for voting to end, not because I'm excited for the results, but because I can't wait to hear comments and critiques on my game (and all the other games) which, up to this point, have been stifled in fear of influencing the vote.

Good luck to all!

I'm not sure, but i guess the entries for the first oneRoom one Week competition are
not available for download anymore.  ???
if im right, this is a very bad managment in my opinion.  >:(
the same if im wrong, cause then the downloads must be very well hidden.

I'm sure pretty much everyone that is going to vote has already, so at this stage my advice would be to wait a bit; there may be enhanced and bug-fixed versions of one room games after the competition (I know for a fact at least one game will have such a release >:)) so it might be worth it to hold off a bit.  Still, if you don't want to wait (and want to vote) the choice is yours, just don't let it keep you from the re-releases!

ENTRIES AVAILABLE HERE.

First post in thread.  Hard to miss.

Except that I think he was asking for the games that were in the FIRST OROW contest.  ;D

Kweepa

Some of the games are available in the games database, and the Completed Games thread.
Some, including the winner, shamefully, are not.
Still waiting for Purity of the Surf II

Hosted atleast temporarely.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

I suggested to the creators of the games in the first OROWC that they should find alternative hosting after the competition was finished. I don't particularly want to be hosting 25MB of other people's games for the rest of time :P

If you made an entry, go get a Geocities site or something and upload it.

Rocco

big thanks, Ishmael.
It would be pity, if the games are not available after the competition.

scotch

Just a reminder to vote, this is the last day that you will be able to.  Voting closes in about 18 hours from now.

Rocco

.. voted .. ,
thx helm for your true words, and the raised motivation to vote with 3 unfinished gamesÃ,  :).

scotch

Voting would be closing now, except AGA isn't around and I can't close it eithout him.  If you're going to vote this is your last chance.

AGA

Right, voting's closed. I'll tally the results sometime tomorrow.

Rocco

grats to all,
a little bit curious -
best puzzles -> ballon face
maybe i played the wrong game, cause in my version
there was a lot of dialog, but no (mentionable) puzzles

scotch

Thanks to everyone who entered!  Well done to all the winners.

Balloon Face was the best game for me, but yes, it had no puzzles worth mentioning... people are incapable of voting properly, we know this from the first competition.  IMO Gladiator Quest deserved scripting, music and probably art, even if it was too hard.  OROW has never been about the competition to me anyway, more about getting people to make games, and it succeeded there.
