A while ago I read a study which claimed that all this hate and self-flagellation among Sierra gamers are the consequences of a childhood trauma caused by frustrating dead-end situations, bad puzzle design and an extensive use of savegames!!Ã,Â :o

Although that's not exactly hacked, from what I understand of the situation (I don't understand much). It's more about misused trust... but meh, I never played space quest, so I cant really understand everyone's loss.

When someone places their trust in you, and you betray that trust, you shouldn't be shocked when it detonates in your face.
You had a hand in the death of that community, wether you want to admit it to yourself or not.

That being said, I really liked that site, and I'm sad to see it go.

I was never a SQN visitor, but I do know Tiki a bit and he's always been square with me. I was a site admin some years ago and someone attempted to hack my forum and it made me enter the third realm of python insanity, but I destroyed that person's access and continued on, I didn't blame him for the presence of black holes in the universe and shut the website down. If what Tiki and pcj did was immature (and I agree it was), then the admins response was nothing short of fetal.
