yes stefano we've seen into the tree stump but I don't remember it saying anything about it being shiny, just blood coloured. Maybe its a ruby and thats the precious tiny stone the spider was talking about.
After passing the black rook there are two doors, if you go straight ahead there are another two doors in that big red cave place, I can't get into any of the doors. I have tried talking to the doors like Fisher suggested, I have done this numerous times but they just won't open. I need help with this

Those doors in the dark castle need passcodes if you talk with the black rook at the gate.   I have completed his test,  but cannot get any passcode to work.  MY logic is not working! So I am stuck for now.

Black Pawn: Guard outside the 'castle' gave you a test that let you in the gate. That test was to learn the 'location' of each chess piece by name, like C8, D8, E8, etc. When you walk in, there are (2) doors: Right one looks like a knight. Ã, You 'should' use the mouth icon on the door and it asks for a password for you to type in. Remember the location of the knight? TYPE it in the box.

It's not the 'actual name' of the piece that you type in for password.......it's the 'starting location' of the piece.

In general, I have: potted plant, rope, sticky stuff/hard ball of wax, a yard of string, King's Army badge, sword. I know items can be passed to one another and some cannot.

thank you for helping, my problem is when I use the talk icon on the doors nothing happens, nothing to say I need a password. I have tried talking to black rook again but it just says get lost lol.

What 'should' happen is, you talk to the door and then at the bottom of the screen you have a 'choice of responses'.....The first one is "I don't know" and the other is the option to say the password......

I'm just not sure why nothin' is happening when you try.

When you go back out to talk to the guard, you 'should' have the option to tell him you have forgotten their locations....or something like that.

Maybe I've got a bug because I don't get any of those options. Nothing from the doors and nothing except "get lost" with the guard.

hmmmmm so you obviously know what I am doing wrong or not doing lol. How about a wee hint or a BIG SHOVE in the right direction. [/spoiler] I obviously won the test that the guard gave to me otherwise I wouldn't have gotten into where the doors are. Black pawn has sword and fruit, white pawn has flower and rope. I know how to put the rope down the well and pass stuff, tried sending the fruit up again but couldn't use it anywhere. I have exhausted all conversations with everybody. So why am I not getting the option of talking to guard again or talking to doors? [/spoiler]

I am also stuck in same spot as Joyce...... Not getting any options on opening door from guard.....Just get lost....
I have sword and purple fruit...... Do I have to do anything else before I can open these doors? I played worm game and won.  I AM SO STUCKKKKKK

My black pawn has 'passed all of the tests' and has aquired the King's Badge to be the Black Queen's Pawn. My white pawn has exhausted all conversations with everyone. In both cases, I've used all of my items and even passed back and forth, etc. My white pawn has 87 (points) and my black pawn has 58 (points).
