Maybe it's got something to do with the candle, which since you can do it, seems that you need it as a ball of wax. Hmmmm...

...cannot throw the wax ball back into the well anymore. I was thinking about using it to lure the Raven as it looks like an egg, but I guess the white pawn is the one who'll use it.

You're right, you can't throw the ball of wax back down to the black pawn; however, you CAN melt it into the sticky stuff again and throw it to him and it turns back to the ball of wax

There are two pieces of string. Both of them can have some? Does it make any sense? I tried to throw in first the string and then the melted wax, just so it could cool and create some kind of weapon for the Raven, but it didn't work. Any ideas?

Originally when I went in to play the game the bishops were on spaces 5D-F6  I had to move them to their right places which were 8C-8F.  So if I use any of those numbers, it says that the password is wrong........ Am I on the wrong track?  Please help me get further with this part........ Thank you

I got my flower pot and the bloody rose from the queen. I suppose I have to see the king now, but I can not enter the 3rd door. No one wants to do any talking any more. I can't go into the battlefield or across the hot desert.

  When you learned the assignments for the black pieces, did you all remember that there are 2 bishops and 2 knights?  It really makes a difference in what winds up in your inventory

I finally got those doors to open.

I interacted with them and went straight back out and talked to guard and this time it worked, maybe I did something else in between before and thats why it wouldn't work. I have progressed a lot, thank goodness.
Figured out the wax, fish, whistle thing and found the precious stone  If anybody is still stuck with this part hopefully I will remember lol
