New concept art regarding Gloria's new look:

Nikolas

I think you just made her much much older!

And I think that you kinda entered into Japanes field of art.

Take into acount that I'm no artist!

I like it very much though.
And I know that this isn't the critics lounge... ;)

Lol thanks for the feedback, i have actually done manga style stuff before.

Personally i wouldnt say it was unreaosnable to say she looked 14?

Disco

I think the dark shirt adds more personality, but I miss the hat. Can we have that hat back please  :D.

I think she does look 14 now, before she looked about 10.

Lol nope, i'm afraid that particular garnment has been shelved deep within the dusty confines of the Lost Lagoon props room.

The first time we see her in the game she should be taking off her hat ¬¬

nice sketch, although it looks more like a boy than a girl . . .  ;D

I jump to add something...

The only reason I would think that is because of the lack of... boobs...

Not trying to be unrespectful in any way. But, I have to agree on that, she's 14 she's not 10... :D

Wow...very nice artwork!
Cant wait to play it one day...but I personally prefer the old characterdesign...it was much more recognisable..but all in all it looks still great (and whithout seeing your new concepts "ingame" its hard to tell anyway).
...all thumbs and big toes up..and good luck/motivation for the project!

I think this design is much better than the other...

Latest BG, and the last one ill be showing for the game on these forums. I don't want everyone to have seen everything in the game before it's finished, so from now on youll be seeing sprites and anim etc.

P.S: I figure every adventure should have a ship in a bottle by law ;)

I like the choice of colors... it looks hauntingly realistic in some strange way. However, the DOTT-styled foreground black objects don't fit in very well, I would just make them blurred visible objects.

Stefano

Dan clarke... I hate you!  ;D
The night backgrounds did't impress me as much as this one did. It's pure solid gold.
I like the DOTT objects in the foreground, but I think we should be able to see 'em in the mirror, don't you?

One more thing (sorry couldn't resist): This greenish atmosphere reminds me of the Matrix movies...  ;)

Cheers mate.
Keep up the excelent job.

Lol a valid point about the mirror, but whats actually seen in the mirror is the floor, the skirting and a bit of the wall, these objects are shelved, and seeing as the view is looking down slightly, technically they wouldnt be seen. :p

I know people were wondering when they'd see anything other than a mass of blue with little bits of lighting, thats why i thought id post this. It's difficult because in this part of the game, about 2/3rds of it are spent outside, so the number of exterior scenes outweighs the interiors. Also the whole part takes place at night, so things have to have a similar feel in order to keep things consistent, Thanks for the feedback.

Is not as cartoonish as I thought it was going to be, but  :o that looks great...
If I would have done such a background the entire game would be in the shower  ;D...I hope we don't get there, get something and then get out, It would be a shame!! =P (just joking)..
Can't wait to play this one, I hope you don't make us wait very much...
Please, keep up the excellent job.

Man, I cant wait to play this game! :)
Awesome! BTW: Why is that window next to the shower?. Doesnt that mean ppl outside can see you bathing?

Lol, it's an upstairs bathroom, and i did consider a curtain rail, but i thought it'd be too cluttered. Perhaps i'll frost the window for the final version lol :)

I like the direction this piece is going, but every edge seems under the influence of an unecessary sharpen filter. Also, the foreground seems a little too blurred. Certain curves could definitely use some definition to give the objects weight (namely the underside of the bathtub).

You could tweak the composition slightly to prevent the tension the negative space is causing in certain areas. For example, move the toilet paper roll a little to the left so it overlaps the side of the toilet, the shower curtain so it overlaps the showerhead and right faucet, and the shelf so it overlaps the bathtub edge. As a result, the tangents these intersecting lines will appear far more interesting to the eye.

I add a slight daubs filter just for the purpose of sharpening stuff up when i put them on here.

Thanks for the feedback about the composition though, never really thought about those changes but i can see what you mean :)

New piece of small concept art, not finished, its for a mini e-poster type thing im making.
