Martin Mystere ?

Has anyone played this game?
We played it for an hour and now we wish that we never bought it.
Cause it looks like an amateur game(there are some indie games that are much better than MM)
Animators were lazy(animatons, what animations?)
BG's are nice but thay look quite dead.

And THE MOST IMPORTANT THING we are fans of Martin Mystere comics so we are able to judge it.Martin look like parody of himself, everything look wrong his voice...

So what is your oppinion?

Yeah, I played it too. It was pretty bad, so I resorted to a walkthrough very early in the game. And even so, I still didn't finish it. The backgrounds were quite nice, but totally lifeless as you mentioned, characters were ok, and overall it had the elements for success. But what really is the stumblestone of the game is the total lack of direction and story.

Starting from the very beginning, there is very little to go on. You try to find your keys so you can exit the apartment and once you get out, you've already forgotten where you were supposed to go and what you were supposed to do. So you go to some guy's mansion, where he's been murdered. Suddenly you go to Peru (or where ever it was) for no apparent reason, go to the ruins, spend literally 2 minutes there and then you're back in New York, back where you started with no direction and basically no motivation to go on with the game. Only after you've given up and uninstalled the game, you read a review on the web and find out, "Oh, it's about some relic. That's nice. How original." Above all this, I hated Martin's voice and I damn near despised the interface. Also, it was eternally annoying that all the background and object interactivity was totally voiceless and soundless.

The game left me with a number of questions. Who is this Martin? Why does he hang out with a neanderthal called Java? What is the case he's working on? What is his motivation for all this? Why should I care?

You should care cause Martin Mystere is the best comic ever.

But that god-awful Martin Mystery cartoon made me keep away. KEEP AWAY!!!
