I do not know how to resize. Any paintover+enlargements will be accepted

You can display a larger image using the [img width=x height=y]http://[/img] tag, where x and y are the desired new dimensions and http:// is your image url.  It's a good start but you may want to draw the character twice as large for a typical adventure game.  Also, I would outline the arms in black to keep with the style (and make them visible) and make the eyes black so they stand out.

Stand up and take note where your arms fall on your own body... Then look at your sprite and I bet you see can spot a problem.

You'll also need to use curvier lines unless that's really the style you want.
An example:

Notice how he is not completely square and rigid, and looks more human like.

However, I do think that rigid sprites can look nice... Here's another one I've done:

However, I can't animate humans at my current artistic stage so with my first game I've decided to use a non-humanoid floating player character that requires little animation.

If you really, truly want to make a game and you can't seem to get the drawing right, I'd suggest doing the same. A first-person-view can also help solve the problem of drawing and animating a  player character.

That is me.

Edit:  I've removed the image since it is way too large and more appropriate for the post your picture thread.  Please read ALL the rules before posting.

here you go a character(this could be a lot better but we don't have time) from your pic:

we first resized it in ACDsee using box filter to 32x90.
then we used a pixelate filter on it.
and after that we lunched ArtGem and removed everything behinde him.And after that we just drawed his eyes etc and draw outlines on his clothes.

( we polished it a bit the catch is to use a shape from pic. and just modify it using your big photo as a reference)

note: even this could be better (foots, shirt etc.)

hope we helpedÃ,  :D
