here is a tip: once you get into the bar and see the snake girl for the 1st time, go outside, and enter again, and if she is still there, it means you saw her twice, and that means she wont disappear.  well, i hope.

how does one get the wooden box?   ii'm so lost

I have the wooden box where I put the life key and death key but am still missing two items needed for the middle two holes.  Where can I find those items.  I have already solved the treasury puzzle and got the sphere.  My current inventory contains telekinetics, binoculars, water, wooden box, multi-shot, machine gun, sniper rifle, sphere, can of blood, sucker, blue cup, diary, bow, sword, pitchfork.

you can't open the trapdoor yourself. you'll have to get the role as guybrush for it to open. i can't remember other trapdoors, so i'm guessing you are referring to the one on stage?
