Critic on a font

Are the first five font examples you show even different?  If there are any minor differences I don't notice them.  I think the font is readable which is the most important thing.

No, not different as I stated. They're just used in a different occasion.

To tell if a font is readable I go through the sentence backwards, just to see if every letter is clear to my eyes.

Test is passed (no mistakes).

Messagebox's background/font contrast is a bit low



(I am not advocating a blue on puke layout, just wanted to make a point).

As a sidenote: this font is similar to Croshaw's one, with the important difference that Dual's character's height was more armoniously chosen (hence no rollercoaster/seasick effect, hence more readability).

The font has nothing to do with Yahtzee!

There are only so many ways to do a boxy lowres font, it's not surprising that the similarity is striking.
