I only discovered the blog right now. Great to have something like this.

Here's an archived pdf version of a Russian magazine that interviewed Dave Gilbert.

There's also TGP coverage inside and it seems they write about AGS games (and other indie adventures) quite a bit.

Cool find, Ascovel. Always appreciate content from magazines that aren't within purchase range.

Except for a handful of early contributions, the blog is usually limited to the larger UK gaming magazines. It means we could be missing out on some European and Eastern-European coverage, seeing as adventures usually enjoy healthier media exposure in those markets.

I've never heard of GameLand, so I'll be downloading a few of these to see what I can see. Thanks for the heads up.

As I mentioned in AGS in the media thread, There were 2 articles about AGS games in Russian GameLand magazine I found so far:

I got 4 pages in the Russian "on paper" magazine last summer ( not being big-headed here but I was damn proud!)including game review and interview with a large photo of my ugly face:). Just one page in French magazine...

I had scans somewhere... I'll see if I can find them:)

Not overly related, just a theory - the up-coming Jonathon Creek special is about "horrors" that occur in a house owned by someone called Hugo. And after watching the trailer I nearly pee'd myself with suspicion over how it seemed to be echoing ideas from our own Le Chateaux Macabre movie.

Just co-incidence, or is the writer a lurker here somewhere?
