This one combines money-saving usefulness with being almost impossible to look at:

They've managed to make the adverts look like the main focus of the page and the navigation bar look like an advert.

But I'm indebted to them every time I have to call an 0870 number from a mobile phone and don't want to pay lots of pennies for it. It's not stingy, it's just frugal.
