I'm having decision paralysis, and find it a common occurrence, in looking for a game to play.

Talk about what you're playing right now, recommend a game, etc..

The last thing I played was Bitstream, which was a tight little gem.

AnasAbdin

Blue Force.
Then I will binge play Police Quest 1,2 and 3 8-)

Gribbler

Fallout 4. Slowmo headshots are art. :)

Stupot

Today I just played Tourist, a short but sweet AGS game by Owl Cave.
And a litle earlier I started playing a game called Naked Eye... which is really creepy and pretty good.
(both on Gamejolt)

Last week I played The Journey Down Chapter 2, which was brilliant.

I just played "Jessica Plunkenstein and the Dsseldorf Conspiracy" last week, and it was hilarious. Unexpectedly long too, and with a lot of real content, not just padding. Great game!

Yitcomics

I just ordered Rise of the Tomb Raider,so yeah still waiting for that to show up.

But recommendation for a game huh...
Fedora spade(its a free detective game,if you like detective games you're probably going to love this (nod))

Retro Wolf

Pretty much only Fallout 4 at the moment!

It just so happens I DO love detective games, and that one looks awesome from the screenies. Gonna check it out. Thanks!

Not that I played them recently, but if you like detective adventure games make sure to check out the Nick Bounty games as well. http://www.pinheadgames.com/

Jonesing for PC Master Modder Race nostalgia I reinstalled a few different freeware versions of Doom, GzDoom, FreeDoom, Boom, Groom, Schloom, Loom and this thing called Zandorum, and finally got Brutal Doom Version 20 revved up.  (Totally thought that was a typo for 2.0 but it REALLY IS VERSION 20!??!11tf?)

Holy shit, the creator was in the gamedev version of godmode when he made this thing, which is a euphamism for unemployed and drip-fed an IV of Monster/espresso, because damn if this isn't the best First Person Shooter I've played in my demon eviscerating, ceiling-painting life.  And by paint I don't mean just blood splatters the Phobos station walls with 256 color decals, I'm talking Direct Mothafucking X 10 small intestines hanging like Christmas lights, blood dripping like ultraviolent snowflakes upon the Space Marine's open mouth.  There are 10-second cutscene FATALITIES to make Mortal Kombat blush, involving pulling the Cacodemons eye out of its head, which can then be used to BLUDGEON imps to death with.  As the posessed, immolated soldiers beg for their life, you can pick up their broken hellish bodies and use them as human shields whilst AKIMBO-PLASMA RIFLING down platoons of barons from hell.   (Which makes no sense, but then you realize you're playing a game where Gwar-concert versions of hellspawn are invading a goddamn Martian space station)

And then it takes it up a few more magnitudes.  I don't even have the time to elaborate on all the mindblowing improvements and added features here but I didn't even go into the FUCKING STEALTH SYSTEM.  YES A STEALTH SYSTEM IN DOOM THAT FUNCTIONS WTF!?!?!?!??!

Sometimes you wonder, being 32 with a stable 2-kid family, a regular pattern of adulting in jobs and tax returns, unable to understand this touchscreening, fruit ninja-ing and angry bird tossing crap, whether you're just becoming Teh Old and nostalgic, re-installing these games that were invented before resolution high enough to see microbes, "STORYTELLING!" and fucking *computer mice*, let alone fondling one's screen like a virtual kitten.

And then you play a modded game like Brutal Doom and remember, no, you're actually right.  It was a Golden Age.

Just played the first one and it was awesome!!!

Can't wait to try the second one as well!!!

EDIT: Just finished the second game and...it was jaw-droppingly AMAZING!!!

Thanks so much for the link. Best adventure gaming fun I've had in a bit!

(I'll try out their other game as well soon)

Harvester

The Moment of Silence
Such a nice story, great music... and horrible, HORRIBLE, gameplay :-(
None shall pass!

Paranoid Factor

MiteWiseacreLives!

I'm pretty sucked into StarCitizen right now. They just released the 2.0 version and despite the agony (it's still not a complete game yet, and I am loving the early alpha access stuff) of trying over and over to get on and not have the game crash its AWESOME.
With all the Brits on this forum, I'm surprised not to hear much buzz about this one? Anyone else into this? Maybe we should form a nice little AGS Pirate Organization??

Stromvin

path of Exile, life is strange, grim fandango remastered(not so much remaster in my opinion), Gabriel Knight sins of the fathers remastered(?)(now that is a remaster) resident evil revelations,

oh dear god, i shoud probably stick to one or two games...

Well...

Fallout: New Vegas - I had brought this one over a year ago, only finally installed it about six weeks ago. Not a bad game at all, certainly seems better than 3 did. 4 I have no interest in buying.

Mount and Blade: Warband - nice game, especially with the Floris mod (my personal mod of choice at the moment).

Not really much else at the moment.

I just finished the AGS series: The Murran Chronicles...

What a great ride seeing a developer's progress from beginner to master!

Obviously inspired by the Ben Jordan series and closely following in its footsteps:

Part 1: Horrible graphics (The little girl was a ripped-off FF character I think) but good enough story to make me try out:

Part 2: Much much better. Storytelling done so well, but confusing goals towards the end.

Part 3: AWESOME!!! Almost everything done perfectly! And Stupot makes an appearence as a character in the game which he was either not aware of or had forgotten about... The game fails a little towards the end when the most fun seeming stuff actually turns out to be the most frustrating, but all in all a masterpiece of AGS development...

I was looking for a full-length AGS game to play over the winter break that would provide an experience like the Ben Jordan series, Blackwell series, Trilby series etc. and this turned out to fit the bill...

LindaBelle

What about N.O.L.F. shooter? It`s interesting and don`t cost so much as other popular games? Or, for example, I mentioned the Quake 2)) You can try it)

Just started playing Neverhood. Stuck on this door puzzel

the answer isn't someplace in that massive wall of text is it? Gads.. I hope that wall doesn't have necessary information in it.

I did the click around until it sorts itself trick. Worked like a charm.
